36 / life of the party

When I wake up I find the bed empty. The sheets are cold and the house is quiet. I rub my eyes before my phone vibrated by my bed side table. I pull on the blanket and I wrap it around me. My phone begins to vibrate once more as I sit up straight and leaned on the head rest. I reach for my phone and groaned as the brightly lit screen hit my face. I enter my password and I immedietly tapped on my messages. A couple from Jade then from Lauren and Luke.

Jade: Hey, sorry about not waking you. It's been another long week and I didn't wanna wake you. Bringing B to her appointment, then heading to the pharmacist to get another bottle of Ventolin for her, then lastly school. I'll see you soon. I love you xx

I begin to type her a reply until I heard a faint knock. Slowly, I lift the blanket off of me and hovered to the edge of the bed. My feet dangle and I slip them into my slippers before taking my robe from the end of my bed and slipping it on. I walk out my door and I place my phone into the left pocket. I hear another knock downstairs and I begin to get curious. Jade and Luke have their own set of keys, and I never invited anyone over. When I rush down the stairs I notice a familiar silhouette through the glass window pane. A smile forms on my lips when I wrap my hand around the knob and opened the door to a very happy Lauren.

"I don't remember inviting you over Jauregui." I mention. "Well hello to you too mama. I have a little something of mine that might make you happy. After everything you need a bit of cheering up." She states. "I'm happy though." I giggle. "Oh I know but you Perrie Louise can never be too happy. So open the screen door and you'll be squealing in no time." "Squealing... hmm did you kidnap Ariana Grande?" I joke. Lauren laughs, "I wish but I'd be in jail." "To be honest I'm quite surprised that you already aren't." I laugh. She nods, "Me too don't worry." I laugh once more before unlocking the screen door and letting her in.

As she steps inside I hear a soft yap," What the fuck was that?" I ask. If was then and there where I noticed a long blue leash behind her back. "Oh my god... you didn't get a puppy did you?" Lauren lifts her brows and I gasp when a small adorable puppy steps inside, "Pez, I'd like you to meet Leo." My eyes fill with tears as the little guy begins to jump at me. I kneel down at the the ground and took Leo in my arms.

"Lauren he's adorable." I say. "Surprise!" she exlaims. I stand back up and I embrace her in a warm hug, my face burying itself into the crook of her neck as she rubs my back. "I heard Jade has a surprise for you too. Don't know what it is though." She spills. "Hmm... well she hasn't been dropping hints... I guess we'll see when she drops it." I say. "So have you had breakfast yet?" Lauren asks. I shake my head. "Just woke up." "Really? I could make you something? Well we could." Her words confuse me. We? I don't think she means Leo.

"Before you confuse yourself I brang some friends." "Friends?" I say. "Yes fr -" "Finah Dinah in da house! With ma girl Jessica." "Jesy... just Jesy." "Shut the fuck up I'll call you what I want." Dinah says as she enters the house with a speaker playing. "If it ain't the life of the party." I laugh.
