2 Months Later...

"Jade, it's been two months. You've got to let me see him. How can he possibly be in the ICU till now? He at least should be out of there by now." I say.  Jade sighs and walks away to the kitchen. She picks up one of Bella's baby bottles and begins to make her milk. "Baby.."

"I wish I could baby. I really do. But the doctors - " I scoff and made her stop mid sentence. "The doctors? Am I actually supposed to be believing you right now? I want to see my best friend, Jade. It's been too long. I love you and I want to trust you. So damn much. But until I see him in person... I don't know who to believe," I explain as a tear runs down my face. "You can tell me now or I guess I have to see for myself." I add as I stare at her back. She doesn't say anything.

"I'll just see you later then." I sigh as I walk up behind her and pressed a soft kiss on her cheek before leaving. I get to the hospital in under ten minutes. I walk into the building and headed over to the nurses station.

"Hi, how may I help you?" A young woman asks. Kindly, I smile back, "I'm looking for Luke Hemmings." I say. The woman's vibrant energy soon fades and is overtaken by a rather concerned look, "Are you Perrie? The girl who was with him?" she asks me. I nod, "Yeah, that's me. Why?" She shakes her head and sighs, "I'm sorry but Luke passed away."

A sea forms in my eyes and I step back slowly . "I'm so sorry, Perrie." she apologises. I run my fingers into my blonde hair and kept walking back until I sunk into an empty seat. Tears stream down my face and I hide behind my hands as I listen to the sound of footsteps down the hall. I look up and I found her there. In between the busy halls was Jade. Her face showed me her worry and emotion. As I look at her a little while longer I realised that her face was wet. She had been crying. I slowly stand from my seat and I gaze down at the floor. Jade walks towards me and soon enough I'm in her embrace. My arms wrap around her and I continue to cry.

"I never got to tell him goodbye..." I choke. My warm, wet tears fall onto Jade's shoulders as we hug each other tightly. "Yes, you can,"  she says softly. "You can tell him everything you never said." I nod, "Promise me you won't leave me." I croak. "Perrie -" I cut her off. "Promise me," She lets me go and I look into her brown eyes, "Please?" Jade cups my face and presses her lips against my own. "I won't leave you. Ever."

"I thought you'd keep your promise, Hemmo?," I chuckle half heartedly. A tear falls onto the grass below me as I gaze down at his grave. " You said l'll never leave your side', you'll never lose me, I promise you, "  I say. "Who knew I'd be sitting here this early. You told me that we never know what our future holds... and low and behold. We definitely didn't know what it would hold. What do I do now, Luke? You left me," I finish. As I sit in silence, Jade takes my hand and intertwines my fingers with hers. "You knew I hate losing people I love. Why did you?"
