"Do you want a drink?" Drew asked as we walked into the kitchen.
"No thanks, I'm not really much of a drinker," I replied.
"Well, here just hold it. Then no one else is gonna ask if you want one," He spoke, popping the cap off two bottles of bud light and handing one to me.
He grabbed the other and raised it to his mouth. I wathched as he did. I had never really been around anyone that drank before so this whole thing was kind of new to me but college was supposed to be about trying new things right? I raised my own bottle to my lips and took a sip.
"Ew!" I let out, "that's disgusting,"
Drew began to laugh at the expression on my face.
"Yeah. It kind of is at first," he grinned.
I made a face in an attempt to get the taste out of my mouth but it didn't seem to work.
All of a sudden, two girls stumbled into the kitchen, falling all over each other. I was starting to see that there was a lot of that at this party. One's eyes flashed to me as a shocked epression appeared over her face. She slightly slapped her friends arm and whispered loudly into her friend's ear.
Drew and I stood, confused, watching the two girls and waiting for them to say something. The two of us began to laugh at their sloppyness until one of them began to speak.
"Holy shit! Is that actually her?" the one in the short black dress asked the other.
"What are you guys talking about?" Drew asked, holding the beer in his hand.
"That's the girl that screwed Austin Mahone?" she yelled in suprise.
My stomach dropped and my throat became tight as Drew turned to face me. Obviously seeing that the topic made me uncomfortable, Drew rushed the girls out of the kitchen and returned to me.
"Are you alright?" He asked, instantly concerned as my expression fell flat.
I looked up at him and raised the beer bottle to my mouth and consumed the entire bottle. Once I had finished, I placed the bottle back down on the table and looked back at Drew who was now wearing a very suprised look on his face.
"Can I have another one?" I asked, as he headed towards the fridge and I stood in the same spot replaying the words "Austin Mahone" over and over again in my head.

The room was spinning and I was pretty sure I was about to fall of the bar stool that I was sitting on. Drew sat across from me on the oppposite side of the table as I fell across the table, struggling to keep my balance.
"You know what?" I muttered.
"What?" Drew asked, a smile across his face.
"Screw Austin. I mean, honestly. He left me for absolutely no apparent reason and the he just completely drops off the face of the Earth. Like what the hell?"
"So, was all that true about you cheating on his best friend with him? Or was that all a rumor?" he aksed.
"No, that was all true. Definitely wasn't my brightest moment. I hurt a lot of people and it was a really bad time but I can't take it back,"
"Do you still love him?" he asked.
"Yeah, I do. I think a part of me always will. He was my first love and I hoped that he was gonna be my last,"
"I'm sorry. That's rough. I went through a really bad break-up sophmore year," he confessed.
"What happened?" I asked, hazily.
"Well, we had been dating for about a year and she kind of just slept with someone really close to me and then would lie to my face about it," he paused, "I wanted to marry her. I really did. I was 20 years old, thinking about the future and who'd be in it and I thought she would be but I guess we've both learned the hard way that you don't always get what you want,"
"I'm sorry," I muttered.
"It's not your fault. It's not like-," he continued, as my mind began to race and struggled to keep my balance.
I began to lean to the side as Drew hopped off of his stool and caught me before I reached the ground.
I landed in Drew's muscular arms as he regained his footing and stood up.
"Is this your first time being drunk?" he asked, slightly laughing.
"Maybe," I replied as I began to hysterically laugh as I laid in his arms.
I moved my finger to his face, pushing it to his lip.
"You're so nice, you know that?" I spoke.
"Come on. Let's get you upstairs," he added.
I fell back against his chest, hearing muttered words and yelling as I was carried.
Drew made his way into a bedroom, which I assumed was his and immediate panic struck.
All of a sudden, I was hit with this pang of fear in my stomach that made my heart almost stop. I was alone in a bedroom with a guy that I barely knew and I was wasted at a Frat party. I've seen this in movies and on tv. Classic college date rape scandal.
Drew placed me down on the bed as I fumbled to stand before he grabbed a hold of my arms.
"Where do you think you're going?" he asked.
I stood, suddenly out of breath and tried to respond, "I, I, um, I need to go back to my dorm,"
"No, you don't. You're completely trashed. You're not going anywhere," he responded.
"I can't stay here," I spoke, suddenly close to his face.
"You can stay with me," he let out, his hands finding their way around my back to keep me standing.
I rested my forehead on his as I struggled to stand. I looked up as our eyes met each other's and pushed my lips onto his as his moved with mine. I brought my hands to his face as he wrapped his arms around my back and pushed closer to me before pulling away.
"What?" I asked.
"You know, I want to. I really want to do this because I really like you and I hope that you really like me. But you just poured your heart out to me about the ex-boyfriend you're still in love with which I'm sure you'll regret in the morning," he spoke as I watched his lips move as he did.
"But I don't want to be that guy that gets you drunk at your first college party and takes advantage of you. I've done that to other girls and it's not cool. I've learned that," he finished.
"Why am I so different than any of those girls?" I asked, half-awake.
"Because I don't think that you're just another girl," he replied.
We held eye contact for a moment before leaning past me and throwing the comforter and sheet from the top of the bed and laid me down onto it. He stood above me and covered me with the blankets before leaning down and kissing the area between my eyebrows.
"Goodnight," he finished before I slipped into sleep.
