After breaking the news to Matt and Anna that I wasn't spending Thanksgiving with them, they were kind of pissed, which was to be expected. Matt was even more pissed than Anna, throwing in the idea that 'this would be the last Thanksgiving we could spend just the three of us," but it didn't stop me from still wanting to go.

After I had taken my final exam for World Religions, I didn't have any school for the rest of the week unlike Drew who didn't have school the entire week. 'Junior Perks' as he called them. He had been ready all week to go to California, which apparently was where he was from, but had waited for me to finish all my exams.

I stood in my dorm on Wednesday evening. It was about 6pm and our flight was at 9pm so we really had to rush. We both we're leaving our cars so we had to take a taxi to the airport which would also cost us some time. I was finished packing and was just searching the room for anything else I may have forgotten or would need when I got there as a knock fell on the door.

I stepped towards the door and turned the knob, revealing Drew in a gray T-shirt and dark blue jeans. His hair was tousled and kind of looked like his bed head but looked about ten times hotter.

"Well, hey," I winked.

"Hey," he smiled, kissing me on the lips, "You about ready to go?"

"Yeah! Almost. I just feel like I'm forgetting something," I paced around the room as he chuckled.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing. You just look so serious,"

"That's it!" I shouted, running to the bathroom and retrieving my make-up bag before re-entering the room.

"How exactly did that remind you of your make-up?" He laughed, gripping my bag and pulling the zipper open for the make-up bag.

I tossed the bag in and zipped it up as Drew threw it over his shoulder and we headed out the door, shutting off the lights as we did. We walked through campus, which was pretty empty considering that half of the people had already left to go home. We got two weeks off for Thanksgiving and another three weeks off when Christmas came around.

"Drew," I began.

"Yep," he replied, still looking forward.

"What are we?"

He turned his head in an instant and stopped where he stood and turned me to face him.

"Are you trying to DTR right now?" he laughed, innocently.

"If that's what you want to call it, then yeah," I teased as he turned to look into the distance.

"You know, at first, I'm not gonna lie. I thought you would just be this innocent and naive freshman but then something changed. I got to know you and got to see who you were and the whole thought of you changed. I'm really glad it did. You're one of the best things that's ever happened to me and it would be amazing, if you'd be my girlfriend,"

I smiled at the word 'girlfriend'. It created a warm feeling in my stomach and made feel kind of whole. It felt good to be needed and it felt good that he cared so much about me and my place in his life.

"Well, what do you think about that?" he teased, pulling my arm so I stood closer to him.

"I think that I'd love to be your girlfriend," I smiled, leaning in for a hug as he pulled me against his chest.

We sat on the plane, next to an elderly woman who obviously didn't know how to use her inside voice. Drew glared at her constantly and even yelled at her when she accidentally spilt her trail mix on him, which was actually really hot. Drew was in the middle between the woman and I and leant as close to me as he possibly could.

"I hate her," he whispered into my ear as I laughed.

"If you two want to have sex, just let me know so I can go to the bathroom," the woman spit out as both our jaws dropped.

"Listen lady, me and you are gonna fight if you can't learn to keep your mouth shut," Drew almost yelled.

"Well, I am just trying to tell you. I don't want to be here when you two are getting at it," she replied.

"Oh my God," I let out, leaning my head against the window as I fought back the laughs.

"Okay. Then we are about to have sex. Right here in this seat so leave," he shot out.

"You can't have sex on a plane, silly boy. Believe me, I've tried," she teased as Drew made a disgusted face.

I couldn't hold the laughs back as Drew's head fell onto my shoulder.

"I'm going to use the restroom," she announced.

"I don't care," Drew spit out, less amused by the situation then I was.

As the woman walked away, he turned to face me and made a look of annoyance toward the woman. Just as he did, the flight attendent walked by as Drew grabbed her attention.

"Ma'am, I really don't mean to bother you but my girlfriend and I are sitting next to an incredibly difficult elderly woman and I was just wondering if maybe there was anyway that we could have her moved or something," he asked in a calm tone.

"I'm sorry sir but it doesn't exactly work that way. We don't have anymore seats in second class," she replied.

"What if I pay for her first class seat? Because I will do that," he suggested.

"We don't typically do that sir,"

"Please. I will beg you," he pleaded.

She took a deep breath before looking at the two of us.

"Okay, I'll move her. Where is she?" she asked.

"She said that she was going to the bathroom," I joined in as she arrived back at the seat.

"What is going on here?" she questioned, glaring at Drew.

"You see ma'am, we do this special promotion on the plane now and we choose a random seat and give the person in it a seat in first class! And you were sitting in the seat!" the attendent persuaded.

"Oh thank goodness! This young man was annoying the heavens out of me," she exclaimed.

"I was annoying you?" he shouted before I put my hand on his arm, fighting back the laughs.

"Okay, ma'am. Let's go," she pushed as the lady grabbed her belongings and followed her.

After she walked away, Drew's head fell back onto the seat and I laughed as he began to too.
