The party was beautiful, with the amazing tablescapes and the decorations, it was almost perfection.
We made our way through the room and wrote our names down in one of the address books thy had laying out.I heard a voice behind me, one that was painstakingly careful not to say the wrong thing.
"Hi," they began.
I turned quickly to see Destiny standing behind me, holding a glass of champagne in her hand.
"Hi," I responded, holding her gaze.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom or something, okay?" Drew spoke before stepping away from the two of us.
"I'm glad you're here," she smiled.
I returned the smile and took a deep breath, "Where is everyone?"
"Oh, they're all around here somewhere. Except Zach. He doesn't really do that great in crowds,"
"Oh," I smiled.
"I would find Drew and get a seat somewhere. I think Alex has a presentation for everyone or something," she laughed as I stood still awkwardly.
"Alright. I will. Thanks," I smiled before she stepped away from me as Drew returned.
"What'd she say?" He asked, grabbing a hold of my wrist.
"That we should get some seats,"
**
"So as you can imagine, it was incredibly difficult to see someone like Rob with someone like Destiny because they're complete opposites!" Alex roared as everyone, myself included, giggled.
"Almost as opposite as Austin and Zach are! Maybe that's why having one just wasn't enough," he continued as my smile fell.
"So let's just talk about that for a minute here. Okay so Cam," he started, "everyone look at Cam! Was dating Zach but apparently had feeling for Austin and cheated on Zach with him. So after that some shot happened and Austin left and now she's with this guy, Drew! The one beside her, everyone look!"
All the eyes in the room turned back to us, including Austin's who's were filled with regret for some reason.
"So now she's like this major bitch who won't even give us the time of day because she's too busy with perfect Drew and her other perfect friends. But I wonder what she'd do if she found out that he wasn't so perfect, " he continued as I felt the tears stream down my face.
"Alex! Stop!" Destiny yelled, heading for the stage where he stood.
"No, no. Honestly I'm almost done. Everyone direct your attention to the screen to this picture of this pretty young lady, named Cassy,"
"Oh shit," Drew whispered, almost out of breath, "listen to me, Cam. I was going I tell you everything. I'll tell you everything. Let's just go. Let's just go right now," he pushed as my face fell.
"What did you do?" I sobbed.
"Anyways, young Cassy, in her freshman year of high school, went to a party with all of her friends. At this party, she met a boy. A boy named Andrew Greyson,"
I sat astounded by this, just as everyone else did, including Austin. What the hell had Drew done with Cassy? What was so bad that he didn't want to tell me?
"Apparently, Cassy woke up disoriented the next morning, next to none other than Drew. And Cassy knew in her heart that she would never, ever sleep with a random guy at a party that she had just met. Then it became clear, young Cassy was taken advantage of by Andrew here," Alex finished.
"That is not what happened! You don't know a damn thing!" Drew screamed as he looked back at me, "I was acquitted of all charges! She blamed me! She didn't want her parents to know so she blamed me! You have to believe me! He's only saying this to make me look bad so you'll go back to Austin!"
I stood, unable to speak after learning all of this. I didn't know what to believe but I knew one thing: Alex and Austin did this out of pure spite.
"How dare the two of you?!" I screamed at Austin and Alex.
"Cam! You've got this all wrong! I didn't-" Austin began, being cut off by Drew.
"Hey, Cam. You wanna know a secret? About Austin here and his adventures in Paris?" Drew laughed, looking Austin right in the eye.
"Don't do it, Drew," Alex demanded.
"You know the girl, the one he was seeing while he was in Paris? Why don't you take a wild guess who that was,"
"Who?" I asked, my voice weak.
"It was Colby. Then he threatened her so she wouldn't tell you. He said that he would ruin her if she ever told you. I just found out today. I was going to tell you," Drew replied, his expression soft as I sobbed into my hands as Drew's hand touched my back.
"Don't touch me! No one touch me!" I yelled at the two of them.
"Cam, I'm sorry. I was going to tell you eventually. I just-" Austin pleaded.
"You lied the entire time! What the hell is wrong with you? You were the biggest mistake I ever made! And I'm glad you're out of my life. You both are now. I'm sick of going back and forth between your world and my world, Austin and I'm not going to do it anymore. I won't," I paused, looking at the two of them before glancing to Destiny and Rob who looked annoyed and hurt, "I'm sorry your party got ruined again. You guys are a beautiful couple and I know you two will be amazing together but I have to go I'm sorry," I whimpered before walking out of the doors and pulling out my phone and dialing a number.
"Hey," they answered.
"Hi," I cried, "can you come pick me up?"
