We landed and I couldn't help but think back to the time Austin and I had left for Texas and how scared he had been that something was going to happen to me. I'd been having moments like this for a while now. I'd be reminded of something we did and think about him and the way he looked at me or the way his nose crinkled when he smiled. I didn't miss him. I missed the memories and the things we had shared. I didn't miss him. At least I didn't think I did.

Drew's mom had arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport and to take back to her house, which apparently she got to keep in the divorce. Drew didn't talk much about it besides that it was the ugliest fight he had ever seen between two people in his entire life.

We sat in the backseat of the car as I leant against him, our hands entertwined. Some Pitbull song was on the radio and the rain began to pour as we sat. The sound of the rain was peaceful. It was a kind of peaceful that was almost unheard of and I couldn't help but feel my eyes become heavy, considering that it was almost 3am Florida time and midnight here in California. I leant closer to Drew and placed my head on his chest as I felt his thumb trace circles on mine.

"Go to sleep," he stated, "I'll wake you up when we get there,"

Drew leant down and kissed the top of my head as I smiled, slipping further off into sleep.

**

I woke up to loud shouting of Drew's name and the sight of a tall blonde lady and a very attractive, young man, about Drew's age running towards the two of us. He stepped out of the car and pulled me up behind him as I leant against the car for support.

"Andrew!" she exclaimed, "I'm so glad to see you! You look so handsome!"

"Thanks mom," he let out.

"How was you guys flight?" the man asked.

"It started out pretty shitty but it turned around," he laughed, pulling my bag out of the back of the car.

"Mom, John," he paused, stepping towards me, "this is Cam, my girlfriend,"

His mom let out a faint laugh before embracing me in a tight hug and then backing away as John reached for an awkward hug.

"I'm so glad to finally meet you! I've heard so many great things about you! Come in! Come in!" she demanded, placing her hand on my shoulder and leading me into the house as John and Drew got the remaining bags out of the trunk.

We walked through the two front doors into the house. The house was imaculate. The grand staircase traveled across the entrance room to the next floor and above hung a candelier with an ungimaginable amount of diamonds.

"Welcome to our home," she smiled.

"Thank you! It's beautiful!I replied, overstruck with the beauty of this house.

"Thank you! I try to keep up with it the best I can!" she smiled as Drew and John entered the house.

Drew appeared beside me, dropping the bags by my feet and reaching to hug his mom and pulling back after he had.

"So, you guys are gonna be sleeping in Drew's old room. I fixed it up for you two," she stated, gleefully.

"Thanks, mom. We're gonna head up there now. We're kind of tired,"

"Okay, well we're actually going out tonight," she almost whispered.

"Tonight?" he asked, almost annoyed.

"We had planned it for a few weeks now. I didn't realize that you two would be getting here today. I can stay home if you want, honey,"

"No it's fine. We're probably just gonna crash anyways," he shot back with a slight attitude, which kind of startled me.

"Are you sure, honey?" she asked, touching his shoulder.

"Yeah, go," he shot back, picking up our bags and pulling away from her touch.

She exhaled deeply as I gave her a sincere look and began up the stairs after Drew, who was stomping at this point.

**

Drew's mom left about twenty minutes after we had gotten settled into his room. Drew sat on the bed sporting a pouty face as I attempted to retrieve some pajamas from my bag. I watched him from accross the room as he sat and threw the pajamas I had collected back onto the top of the bag before walking over and taking a seat next to him.

"What's wrong?" I asked, leaning against him.

"It's just," he began, "my mom is just,"

"I'm sorry," I responded, my expression soft.

"It's not like it's your fault!" he almost laughed, "I'm actually really glad that you're here,"

"You are?"

"Yeah. Of course. Usually it's just me and I'm left all alone in this big house,"

I laid my head against his shoulder as he turned him and planted a kiss on my forehead.

"Okay," he laughed, "go get a shower, then I'll get one and then we'll bang,"

I stood and started toward the bathroom as I quickly turned around, realizing what he said.

"Wait, what?" I laughed.
