We sat at the table after we had finished our pancakes and were currently waiting for our reciept to find its way to the table. Drew sat across from me, still as a board and smiled at me for no apparent reason.

"What?" I chuckled, pushing a strand of hair behind my right ear.

"Nothing! It's just that I was thinking about the day I first saw you and how much has changed since that day,"

"What was it like? When you first saw me, I mean?" I asked, curiousity building up inside of me.

"Well, I walked in and I wasn't even heading towards the aisle you were in. I just passed by and kind of had to do a double take. You didn't notice, of course," he laughed, "You probably didn't even notice the two guys that were totally about to kill each other over you,"

The memory flashed back into my head as I almost shuddered at the thought of the two of them fighting over me like I was a piece of meat before laughing and reaching my hands up to my face.

"Oh my gosh. How could I have missed them?! They didn't really make it easy to ignore,"

"Yeah. But those guys were complete tools so once I heard what they were saying, I kind of swooped in and went over to you and then you saw me and I saw you and now here we are," he sweetly replied, as a smile appeared from cheek to cheek across his face.

"Funny how things work out sometimes isn't it?" I winked, as he reached his hand across the table to grab mine.

Our fingers lay intertwined on the table as the waitress brought our reciept and placed it onto the table as Drew immediately reached for it and handed the waitress his card. We sat in silence until the waitress returned. Drew placed a five dollar bill on the table and we both stood.

We walked hand in hand from the booth towards the door and walked out the door to the rented car. We walked as our hands swung back and forth as we did before Drew twisted me around and pushed me against the passenger side and pressed his lips gently but roughly to mine. His hands made their way to my hips and my hands found their way to the tips of his shoulders. We kissed for the longest time before pulling away from each other and stepping away, creating a space between the two of us.

I laughed for a moment as he stood before me and waited for him to speak.

"So wanna head somewhere and get some rest?" he questioned.

I took a step forward so that our bodies were touching and spoke as his eyes distinctly followed mine.

"Well, I mean, we could do that," I began with a smirk present on my face, "or you know we could go somewhere else?"

"Oh really," he laughed as I grabbed his hand and pulled it up to mine, "And where exactly would you like to go?"

"Well, since I just had about seventeen cups of straight sugar, I'm not really all that tired anymore so I'm kind of u for anything at this point," I laugh.

"Well, than I have an idea," he teased.

"Does it involve anything illegal?" I asked, giving him a suspicious look.

"Maybe a little," he laughed as I gave him a stunned look.

"Oh come on!" he pleaded, "It isn't too bad! Come on! Live a little!"

I stood for a moment contemplating whether or not I should do whatever it was that we were about to do and finally smiled at him.

"Yeah, let's go," I chuckled, stepping into the car as he stepped to the passanger side of the car.

"So, where is this place that we're going to?" I asked, fastening my seat belt.

"You'll see," he winked, as he did the same and I sat back in the seat.

We drove for about thirty minutes before reaching a huge carnival looking place and stepping out of the car and towards the front door.

Drew had called a few of his old friends and they had gathered around the entrance. We headed towards them as Drew grabbed my hand and smiled down at our joined hands. We reached the group of people who were a substancial amount older than me and smiled as Drew did all of the talking. It was almost 1 a.m.

"Hey guys!" Drew exclaimed as he was grabbed by two of his nearby friends and I stood awkwardly as a group of girls stood near me and gave me looks of disgust. This should be fun.

"Guys, this is my girlfriend Cam!" Drew introduced me as they all greeted me, well all of the guys anyways.

We stood, talking to his friends for a quick moment before one of the girls from the girls, who appeared to be much younger than the rest spoke up.

"Hi Drew," she spoke in a flirty tone, wiggling her fingers in a wave.

Drew took a deep breath and glanced over at me as I stood with a look of annoyance present on my face.

"Hey Cassy," he replied in a tightered voice as if he was trying to hold back something.

"Good to see you again," she winked, before taking a step towards us before Drew grabbed my hands and moved us to the opposite side of the group.

"So when does Tommy get off anyways?" Drew asked.

"Well, he got off like three hours ago but it's a small park so they also pay him for maintence so he stays until later which works out pretty great for us," A blonde girl with green eyes spoke from the other side of us, near where Cassy stood.

"Shit, I haven't done this since high school," Drew laughed, still gripping onto my hand.

"Well, you haven't really been home since high school," a tall, dark haired guy spoke, standing directly beside me as someone approached the entrance.

He smiled and reached for the lock of the gate, shifting his keys to unlock it before looking up and seeing Drew. He smiled then laughed as the doors swung open and he embraced Drew in a giant hug, breaking our grip.

"Greyson! Man I haven't seen you since like senior year! How the hell you been?" he asked.

I assumed this was the Tommy that everyone had been waiting for but I couldn't help but focus my attention on something else. Had Drew not been home in three years? Had he honestly not seen his friends from home in three years? And another thing! Almost all the people here were twenty to twenty four years old and still running around, sneaking into old carnivals. At least Drew and I were younger so it was okay if we were a little dumb.

"I've been good man!" He replied, patting Tommy on the shoulder.

"Good dude! Who's this beautiful girl?" he questioned.

"This is my girlfriend, Cam!" he spoke, in laughter at Tommy who was obviously a little drunk.

"Well hi then!" he shouted, embracing me in a hug now.

I smiled and patted his back as he hugged me before pulling away.

"Okay well everyone's gone for the night and I'm gonna set up the rides and then I've got some pot in the back of the storage room and we'll get this party started!"

The group walked inside the park as Drew and I fell to the back and stopped at the front entrance and waited for Tommy to close the gate so we could have a moment alone.

"Who is that girl?" I asked, watching Tommy walk towards the group.

"Cassy?" he questioned, as I nodded in response, "She's just this girl. She's one of their friends. I try to avoid her at all costs but that doesn't always work,"

"I don't like her," I remarked, glancing in the direction of the group.

He laughed and grabbed my hand in his, leading me in the group's driection.

"Come on," he smiled, before we reached the group.
