"I didn't want to be the one to tell you, Cam," Zach began as Austin hands turned into fists, "but I'm not gonna let him walk around like he's some angel when he's just as guilty,"
"Shut up, Zach," Alex screamed.
"He doesn't have to shut up!" Robert screamed at him, "He's right and this whole time you've been walking around like he's the innocent one when he's not! Well, you know what? I'm happy for you, Cam. Drew seems like a really chill guy and I'm glad that you're happy again since some moron took all of it away from you once,"
"You're a dick," Alex laughed in a state of annoyance.
It was so weird seeing them at each other's throats. Somehing about it felt unnatural and foreign, kind of like the night Zach found out about Austin and I.
"Yeah, I might be," he laughed, "but at least I know how to keep mine to myself,"
The room fell silent at the remark as all the eyes flashed to Amanda, whose eyes were red from crying. I had never seen Amanda cry but I didn't like and something about it made me want to take a kick at Alex's precious jewels.
"You know," he laughed, "you should learn to keep your mouth shut about the things that you know nothing about,"
"I know that Amanda's a good girl and doesn't deserve some dirty cheater," Robert spoke.
Amanda's face fell as the only thing she looked to was the ground. Destiny and I exchanged a quick glance before both of our eyes moving to Amanda.
"Oh!" Alex spoke, becoming hysterical, "You wanna play that game? Okay. Why don't you tell everyone why you're actually here tonight?"
Robert's jaw clenched as Destiny took a step forward and walked towards him.
"What's he talking about?" She sweetly asked.
Their was a brief pause before Alex spoke up again.
"Go on. Tell her all about how you came running to me today after you found a positive pregnancy test in your bathroom today and how you were so scared of being a father and you didn't want to be that serious with Destiny yet and how you thought this was a wake up call that things needed to change between the two of you. Tell her buddy,"
The remainder of us stood stil as the look of engagement bliss fell from Destiny's face.
"The only reason you proposed was because of a dumb test?" she yelled.
"Destiny," he began.
"Oh my gosh," She laughed, "I am so stupid,"
"No. Destiny, listen to me babe,"
A sudden roar of yells arose across the room and suddenly there was not a single person spitting out words.
"Will everyone just stop?!" Amanda screamed, tears flowing down her face from what she had just found out or by her actions earlier, what she possibly had thrown back in her face.
We turned to face her as we fell silent before she spoke again.
"Destiny isn't the pregnant one here. I am," Amanda spoke, almost so quiet that no one else could hear her.
I couldn't hide the shock from my face along with everyone else in the room except Destiny and Amanda. My hand found its way to my mouth as Alex turned around to face her.
"Babe," he began.
"Don't think for a second that this changes anything," she paused, "I'll raise this baby by myself. I don't need you and your other girls to help me with it. I don't need you in my life because you know what? I've given you plenty of chances to fix this. I've told you that you needed to decide if you wanted me or if you wanted these other girls and I guess you chose. So now I get to chose," she inhaled as a smile arose across her face, mine and Destiny's, "And it's not you. I choose me. I choose to be happy and independent and to teach this beautiful baby those ways and I choose to be alone and love myself rather than be in a relationship with someone who couldn't care less about me. I choose me," she smiled.
We all stood, stunned by what she just said. I couldn't believe it. This girl, this passive girl who had always been so passive and had taken so much from this guy had finally stood up for herself. She was free. She was finally free.
"Baby," he began, stepping towards her.
"You can say all you want, Alex," she began, "but I'm so done hearing you talk and saying all of these empty promises and don't really care what you have to say anymore. I'm done with you. I'm over this toxic relationship and I'm over you,"
Drew stood still in front of me as I pushed my way past him, a smile gleaming across my face. I walked towards Amanda, taking her in my arms and wrapping them around her as Destiny came around and did the same. I looked back to where Drew and Austin both stood and flashed a smile at Drew as the smile on Austin's face fell and Drew's grew brighter.
"You okay?" I asked Amanda, holding her face in my hands.
"I'm amazing actually," she laughed, a smile of pure joy stretching across her face.
I turned back to Alex and gave him a lingering glare before he muttered 'bitch' under his breath.
I threw my fist against Alex's jaw as he fell to the ground, clutching his jaw as I squated down to reach eye level with him.
"Tell me," I began, "do I hit like one?"
I smiled at Alex as Drew ran over and grabbed a hold of my arm and pulled me up, a smirk very present on his face.
"Good hit," he laughed, "where'd you learn it?"
"You're frat brothers get into a lot of fights at parties,"
He stopped mid-stride and stared at me as everyone, including Austin watched us and smiled at what I just said.
"Wanna get out of here?" he asked, lacing his fingers with mine.
"Absolu-" I began as a bright pink, skintight dress entered the room and kissed Zach on the cheek before looking towards Drew and I.
Colby.
