Desire 2

Chapter Forty-Five

Okay guys so I'm sorry that this is such a short chapter but I just wanted to let you guys know that since it is so short, I will probbaly update it along with another chapter (: 

I smiled under Austin's kiss as we stood on the deck over the water as he laughed.

"It's like 3am," I laughed, his eyes meeting mine. 

"Yeah and we're on our way back home from Cancun," he grunted in annoyance. 

We had already visited Mexico and passed through over half the trip with next to no disturbances beside the occasional creepy guy and awkward run in with Toby and Colton but it had been an amazing trip so far.

Destiny and Robert were basically inseperable and Alex wouldn't stop doting on Amanda, which she found quite annoying. Austin and I spent most of our time togethe which left Zach alone most of the time, which made me feel really bad. 

"Where's Zach at tonight?" I asked as Austin looked confused. 

"Why?" he replied. 

"Well, you guys are all busy with us and all and I was just wondering what he does since he's all alone?" 

"I think he's back in the suite," he stated. 

"I feel bad for him," I began, "It's gotta suck being a seventh wheel, you know?" 

"Yeah, I know. I was one for a year," he laughed as I shot him a playful look. 

"But, you know, he just wants to stay in the suite," he stated, staring into my eyes. 

"Why?" I asked, staring back at him as he turned his head away as if there was something he didn't want to say. 

"What is it?" I demanded. 

Austin took a deep breath before speaking, "Zach said that the other night in the elevator, he realized that he wanted us to be together but he still loved you and wanted to be with you and I feel bad for him, I do. He's so confused and hurt and heartbroken but I can't help it if he wants to spend all his time trapped in his room, you know?" 

"Yeah, I get it," I looked down at my feet, "he told me," 

"When?" Austin asked, suddenly confused.

"A couple days ago when I went and talked to him after I talked to Drew," 

"What did he say?" he asked. 

"It doesn't matter. What matters is that we're both here and we're working on us and we're moving on. That's all that's important," I smiled.

I woke up the next morning, the sun gleaming in my face before I threw on a pair of sweats and headed off to the kitchen to grab a drink. 

I sat down at the table across from Destiny who scrolled on her phone while drinking coffee and eating a bagel. 

"Hey are there anymore bag-" I began, as Alex left the bathroom and made his way back to Amanda's room. 

"Did he?" I mouthed to Destiny, her mouth full of bagel. 

I made a confused face as we both stared at the door. 

"Well I mean, I guess," Destiny spoke.

"So what are you doing today?" 

"I wanted to go to a show in one of the theaters and go tanning afterwards. You wanna make a girl's day out of it?" She smiled. 

"Duh girl," I laughed. 

"Thank God, because she," Destiny spoke, pointing to Amanda's door, "is no fun," 

I laughed, "I still can't believe that she let him sleep over," 

"Well I mean, let's be real, what's the worst that can happen," 

That was enough to get me to almost cackle. We sat eating bagels and drinking coffee before heading out for the day.
