After the appointment, Anna took Matt home after he insisted that he had a concusion from the fall so I headed back to campus to get ready for Zeta Beta Tau's annual bonfire then drove to the beach where it was being held. I wore a pair of black skinny jeans and a peach-colored, sleeveless collered shirt with a leather jacket and a white beanie over my curled dark brown hair and my favorite pair of combat boots. It was suprisingly cool for November in Miami and I was planning on taking as much advantage of that fact as I could considering it was almost always blazing hot here.

I arrived at the party to the sound of safe and sound by capital cities playing found an undisclosed location and made my way through the party, greeting people as I did. I had met a lot of people and I was quite happy about that fact. I guess you could say that ever since I had cut Austin, Destiny, Amanda and everyone else out of my life, it had kind of turned around. Though, they didn't ever stop calling and frankly it was annoying but it was easier now to be around people and to think about other things than just how sad I was over Austin. At the start of the school year, I hated being around people and would do just about anything to get out of it but now, it felt amazing. It felt amazing to be around people who wanted to have fun and be happy and it was contagious. And I craved it.
I was approached by Liv from behind who hugged me, holding a beer bottle in her right hand.
"Hey! I was hoping you'd come tonight," she smiled.
"Well, yeah! Of course I was gonna come!"
"Well, it is one of the best parties of the year. Zeta Beta Tau is kind of known for parties and party boys," she laughed.
"Yeah, so I've seen!" I responded.
"Do you want something to drink?" she asked.
"No, no. I'm fine! I was actually about to go find Drew!" I laughed.
"Oh," she smirked, "well, lover boy is over by the beer with Josh and Todd."
I laughed after she finished speaking and then thanked her before walking up to Drew.
"Hey!" I smiled as he turned to face me.
"Hey there," he spoke, leaning down and kissing me.
"Oh well, damn. Would you look at that, Todd?" Josh teased.
"Yeah, I know. Can you believe that little Andrew has himself a girlfriend?" he replied as Drew quickly turned around and I laughed in amusement.
"What are we talking about over here?" Chris Keaton asked, joing into our conversation.
"Oh. Just Drew's new girlfriend," Todd winked.
"Oh, Damn," Chris let out, licking his lips while looking at me.
"So, tell me," Josh began, leaning towards me.
"Tell you what?" I asked, still laughing.
"How hard is Andrew hitting it?" he smirked as my jaw dropped in amusement and a little embaressment.
"Okay that's enough," Drew laughed, looking at me with a look of pure embarasement.
"Oh don't tell me you haven't gotten a piece of her yet," Chris winked at me.
"Shut up, Keaton," he shot back in a more serious tone.
"No. I'm just saying you better get in that before I do," he smiled.
"Okay. Seriously are you looking to get your ass beat?" he shouted, in an angry tone.
"Okay, okay. Hey," I began, pulling him to face me, "let's go get me a drink,"
He shot Chris a dirty look before walking away and pulling my hand with him.
"I fucking hate that guy," he spoke, as I walked beside him.
"I could tell," I laughed.
We reached the cooler as Drew reached his hand in and grabbed a bottle of bud light and handed it to me.
"Oh no. I don't want it. I just had to do something to get you away from that guy," I winked.
He gave me a sly look before looking down and licking his lips before looking back at me.
"Well, I mean you can have it if you want. You could stay the night here with me," he suggested with a half smile.
"You're staying here tonight?" I almost laughed.
"Well, not here as in on the beach but Todd's family has a beach house that his family uses in the summer and we all just get wasted and spend the night there,"
"Oh," I smirked.
"What else do you do at this beach house?" I teased, pulling his hand towards me as he stepped forward.
"Well, first we get a little high,"
"mmmhm," I smiled, our noses now touching.
"Then we," he took a breath, "we eat some food,"
"Then what?" I laughed as his hand met the side of my face and pushed my hair behind my ear.
"Then we can do whatever your heart desires," he winked, pressing his lips onto mine as he threw the beer back into the cooler.
Our lips pulled apart as he smiled against my lips.
"I really, really like you. You know that?" he spoke.
"Ever heard the expression 'only fools rush in'?" I laughed, in a teasing tone.
"Yeah. But if it's foolish, baby I'll be the biggest idiot you've ever seen," he replied as I began to laugh and look at my feet.
I looked up at him and realized in that moment that I wanted to be an idiot too. If he was gonna be an idiot and rush into this, then I wanted to too. It scared me how much I liked Drew and how much I felt like I wnated him and for the first time since Austin left, I realized that I'd be okay if he never came back.
"Hey," he began as I looked up at him, "come on! There's someone I want you to meet,"
