Chapter Fifty-Six

We decided to play it low key for tonight and go to a simple movie. We were all dying to see the new Channing Tatum movie for obvious reasons. We entered the movie theater, purchased the tickets and headed to the concession stand each of us buying a soda.

"Guys I'm so excited for this movie," Todd began.

"Same! I've been waiting for like four months for it to come out!" Liv added.

"Oh shit," I blankly spoke.

"What it is?" Liv asked, looking at what I was looking at.

There was Austin, standing next to some blonde as Rob, Destiny, Alex and Amanda laughed along with something they said.

"Listen to me," Todd began, grabbing my shoulders and pulling me to face the two of them, "you are a bad ass bitch. You don't need any of them because you upgraded to us. Now we are going to buy our sodas and we are going to walk past them and you're going to smile at Austin the best you can and show him that you are better off without him and we are going to go about our business, okay?"

"I don't know if I can do that," I proceeded.

"Yes you can because you are a damn queen and you slay. Do you understand me? You are a part of the Troublesome Three and you are fearless. You can do this," Liv butted in.

"I can do this. Of course I can do this," I stood up straight and grabbed my soda, walking towards the counter and purchasing the drink.

"I can do this," I repeated to myself.

"Yes you can," Liv replied, "by the way, your ass looks good in those jeans,"

"Awh thanks! They're new. I got them on sale at-"

"Girls," Todd interrupted, "now is not the time. We have to make an ex jealous,"

"Wait, jealous?" I asked.

"Yeah. It won't take much in that shirt and those jeans," Todd added.

"Are you sure you're not straight?" Liv asked.

"Positive. Let's go," he finished as we walked towards the theater.

We approached them as they all looked my way. Austin looked stunned. Did I really look that different? Destiny and Amanda just looked sympathetic and stunned and Alex and Robert looked....mesmerized.

"Cam," Austin approached me, breaking away from the blonde's side.

"Hi, Austin," I began, "It's, um, nice to see you?"

"Yeah," he spoke, swallowing hard.

"Are you here to see-" I began.

"Yeah, yeah. We are," he spoke back, looking at the blonde.

"Well that's cool. I don't want to keep you so I'll get going," I finished, holding eye contact with him.

"Oh by the way, these are my friends Liv and Todd," I spoke.

"Hi! I'm Austin," he smiled at Liv, which she didn't return.

"I know who you are," she rolled her eyes as I bit my lip to hide the laughter.

"Alright," he spoke looking to Todd, "hi I'm-"

"Can we go now?" He rudely cut off Austin. Rude but very funny.

I couldn't hold back my laughter as Austin glared at me.

"Wow okay," he laughed as Liv and Todd gave me a look saying 'we're done here and we'll wait for you to go in.'

"Your friends seem very nice," Austin joked.

"Shut up," I rolled my eyes.

"They're rude as hell and so are you," Alex cut in.

"Last time I checked, I wasn't talking to you so kindly," I spoke before shewing him away with my hand as he laughed.

"Who are you?!" Austin yelled, staring back at me.

"Honestly you don't even seem like yourself anymore!" Destiny added.

"This is who I am and I don't care what you have to say about it," I laughed as a group of guys walked behind me.

"Hey Cam!" The tall one yelled.

"Hi!" I responded as he pointed to my jeans and bit his lip as I turned back to them, blushing.

"Who are you," Austin repeated, "you're not even yourself anymore. And you can't even see it. This isn't you,"

"Let's get one thing straight," I began, "you do not get to tell me who I am. I don't owe you any answers anymore,"

"Then answer the question for yourself! Is this who you really want to be? This person who is rude to her friends?"

I laughed at his words as they all stood looking at me, even the blonde who looked slightly scared of me.

"You guys aren't my friends. Liv and Todd and Drew and Colby are my friends. Because friends try to make an effort to speak to you after a fight. I called. I called all of you. And I got nothing in return. That hurt. So forgive me if I don't give a flapping fladoodle what any of you think," I finished, feeling a pair of hands at my waist.

"Hey baby," Drew spoke, kissing me on the cheek as Colby stood behind him, "I skipped the group to surprise you-" he stopped.

"Oh God," he let out, looking at Austin.

"Drew," Austin spoke, "it's always a joy to see you,"

"Can't say the feeling's mutual," Drew continued.

"Cam and I were actually just talking about," Austin began.

"Should we go to the theater?" Drew cut him off.

"Yeah. We were just finished," I state, Drew stepping ahead of me and pulling my hand with him as I glared back at them.
