We spent most of the next day at the hospital, patiently waiting for the twins arrival as Matt grew more and more anxious as the day went on. He spent most of his time in the room with Anna, how she didn't kill him I don't know. Almost everyone came by to sit with us, except Zach. No one had seen much of him for a while.
Alex, Amanda, Destiny, Robert, Austin and I sat still as Amanda and Alex bickered about something that seemed to have no importance at this given moment. Austin glanced over at me with heavy eyes. I knew he was tired. We'd been here since 10am and it was now 7pm and we weren't going home anytime soon considering the doctors had already decided that the babies were coming tonight.
Just as Austin's mouth opened to speak, Drew and Colby sped through the maternity ward doors. Colby rushed over to give me a warm hug while Drew simply held his glare on Austin, who stood at the moment.
"We rushed over here as soon as we found out!" she smiled against my neck, "How are they doing?"
"They're doing good! The babies are supposed to be here sometime tonight," I replied, glancing over at Drew.
Drew's eye contact broke with Austin, his harsh expression softening as he caught a glimpse at me. Everyone seemed to notice as all the eyes in the group traveled to Austin. Drew stepped towards me, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him as my arms fell against his back before pulling away.
"What is this asshole doing here?" Drew spat. Here we go.
"Excuse me?" Austin laughed.
"Drew, don't," I sighed.
"No," he laughed, "I mean, I just wanna know what exactly he's doing here,"
"That's really none of your business," Austin spoke, stepping up from behind me as I crossed my arms.
"Oh so he speaks for you now?" Drew laughed, Colby shooting him a glare.
"Drew, let's go," she spoke, pulling his arm before he ripped it away.
"No, these two are gonna tell me what they are doing here, together," he finished.
"I have you know, that we spent yesterday together when Matt called and said that Anna went into labor and then we just went back and crashed at my place," Austin stated as Drew let out a laugh.
"What?" I shot at him.
"It's just that I can't send a night with my ex without you snapping at me and then you spend one with yours,"
"I didn't have sex with my ex, Drew," I almost screamed.
"Yeah. I sure believe that," he laughed.
"And what does it matter to you if we did?" Austin replied, his hands becoming fists.
"Fuck you, Austin! You think that you can just walk back into her life and everything's going to go back to the way it was before? You are literally the dumbest person in the entire world and yet you get to walk arou this town like your some sort of God. Well that stops now, do you hear me? I don't care if you hit it first. I don't care about anything you have to say!" He screamed as a crowd began to gather around us.
"What the hell, dude? She's not an 'it' first of all and second-"
"Second, nothing. And you wanna know something?"
"What?" Austin shouted, annoyance present in his voice.
"I hit it harder," Drew smirked as Austin pushed past me as shoved his palms against Drew's chest.
I stepped back as Robert and Alex came to seperate the two of them before I stood between them.
"Will the both of you shut the fuck up?!" I yelled, looking back and forth at the two of them, "You both are acting like you're five years old and I'm about sick of it!"
They exchanged glares as I held my ground between them, a hand pressed against each of their chests.
"This a hospital. If you want to scream at each other, do it somewhere else. Now Drew, I want you to leave," I stated, a betrayed expression overtaking his face as Colby pulled him back and they continued out the door of the maternity ward.
I stood still, my hand falling from Austin's chest as he reached for my hand and the crowd dispearsed.
"Just don't," I stated, closing my eyes as if it would take me away from here.
"I don't know what you want me to say or what you want me to do," his voice became soft.
"I don't want you to say anything. I just want you to emain civil with him," I sighed, raising my hands to my face.
"The guy's a dick and he was being rude about everything! What was I supposed to do?"
"Act mature! He's a dick, believe me I know! But he's not as bad as you think he is. He's actually a really good person," I began as everyone braced for what I was going to say next, "Do you think it's easy being in love with two people at once? Do you think that it honestly helps to see the two of you constantly bitching at each other. I love him, Austin,"
HIs face fell flat as I stepped closer to him, "I need you to know that. I do love him. I don't know if I love him the way I love you but that's the thing! I don't know what I'm doing or how I feel about anything that's happening or has happened! I'm lost and I don't know how to get home," I sighed as he looked up at me, a tear escaping the corner of my eye.
"Cam," he began as Matt appeared from the hallway.
"Cam, can I see you for a minute?" He spoke as I stepped away from Austin and towards Matt.
