Austin and I sat alone at a booth as we both sipped on our coffees and I stared up at him.

"We could go to a show or something?" He suggested as I gave him a sigh of annoyance.

"I don't think that going to a loud show while hungover is that great of an idea,"

"Okay," he began, "how about we go sit at a table outside and watch the pool?"

"I guess that'd be okay," I smiled.

"Okay, good. Frankly, I don't care what we do as long as I'm with you so," he finished taking a bite of eggs as I smiled at him.

**

We sat beside each other outside at one of the shaded tables, watching people pass by in their swimsuits and carrying drinks to which I cringed at.

Austin and I waited for absolutely nothing to happen but I did have to say it was nice being so close to him and taking in the sweet scent of his cologne.

"So, how's school?" he asked, trying to break the silence between us.

I laughed at the question, "Are you really asking me about school?"

"Yeah. I want to know," he smiled sweetly.

"It's okay. It's boring and I feel like I'm not learning anything useful or important to my life but it's okay,"

"So basically it's like high school," he stated as I laughed at the statement.

"Basically,"

"How's that," he paused, "That guy, Drake or Derek?"

"Drew," I laughed, "He's, um, he's back with his ex again so,"

"Sorry to hear it," he stated, reluctantly.

"No, you're not,"I laughed.

"I'm not sorry that he's with someone else. That's his loss, not yours. I'm just sorry that it hurt you,"

"Well thanks," I smiled, looking back at the pool as Alex sat down beside Austin.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Austin asked him.

"Well, Zach and I didn't know where you were so I said I'd go find you," he replied.

"Do you guys need something?" Austin asked, hinting that he wanted him to leave.

"We just wanted to make sure Cam was okay," he smiled at me as I raised a hand to my heart.

"Awh, Alex," I began, stepping towards him and engulfing him in a huge hug.

"You were pretty messed up last night," he started, "I'm just glad we were there,"

"I am, too," I smiled, "and even though you hurt one of my best friends pretty bad, I'm done fighting with you. Fresh start?"

He smiled, taking my hand with his and shaking it before stepping away towards the doors of the lobby.

"You two have fun," he shouted, walking away as about four girls checked him out leaving Austin and I laughing.

**

It was eight pm and the day drug on like no one would believe. I was sitting alone in my room of our suite as Amanda sat on the couch in the living room.

I had taken a shower and threw on a pair of white shorts and bikini top with a see through shirt. I scrolled through my twitter reading the latest tweets as there was a knock on the door. I stood knowing that Amanda wasn't going to get it and since Destiny was still with Robert, that left me. I jogged to the door and turned the knob, exposing Austin and Alex in our doorway.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked, glancing back at Amanda who looked, to put it nicely, like crap.

"I wanted to see Amanda. I heard she wasn't feeling good and I wanted to check on her," Alex stated, looking sincerely worried.

"I don't know if that's the bes-" I replied before being cut off.

"He can come in," Amanda stated,as I opened the door and cleared the way for them to walk in.

Alex rushed in while Austin took his time, smiling at me before pulling me in for a hug. I felt his chest move up and down as he breathed and his arms tense as they wrapped around my waist. I closed my eyes and took in the moment before he whispered something in my ear.

"Do you wanna go somewhere with me?" He asked as I bit my lip and nodded before he smiled back.

"I'll go get some shoes," I spoke, running off to my room and grabbing the first pair of shoes I saw.

I slipped them on and hurried out of my room back to the living room.

"Hey, Alex!" Austin laughed, seeing me hurry out of the room, "We're gonna give you two some time to talk and get out of here, okay?"

"Thanks man," Alex smiled back at Austin, pushing a piece of hair out of Amanda's face as her head lay flat on his chest.

**

Austin and I strode along the Lido deck, passing the pool and the bar where there weren't such great memories.

"Do you want anything to drink?" Austin joked as I shot him a dirty look.

"I'm actually getting over a ridiculous hangover so no thanks," I laughed.

"Fair enough,"

We walked past a group of guys who I couldn't help but see they were watching me.

Austin let out a quick laugh before speaking, "They wish they were me right now,"

I looked up at him, "And why is that?"

"Because I'm walking around here, talking to the most beautiful girl on this entire boat," he winked, stepping up the stairs as I smiled behind him.

We stood over the entire boat on the highest level as we pulled two lawn chairs to the back to watch the water trailing behind us.

"It's beautiful," I spoke.

"You never realize how small you are until you're somewhere like this," Austin let out.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, we're just these small people in this huge world. We're so small compared to this world and I don't think you realize that until you're out here," he finished.

"That's kind of beautiful," I smiled at him.

"Like you,"

I stood from the chair, standing at the end of the boat and watching the water travel behind us. I held onto the railing as Austin stood behind me and came beside me. I watched the water, feeling Austin's eyes on me the entire time as I began to smile.

"Cam," he began, gripping onto my hand and pulling me close enough that our noses were touching.

Suddenly I was breathless. I felt all the air travel out of my lungs and felt as though my legs could give out at any moment.

I felt his breath on my face as he struggled to gather up the courage to do what he was trying to do. He closed his eyes as if to think aboout what he was about to do when I spoke.

"Just kiss me already, Austin," I spoke as his lips crashed onto mine.

His hands met the sides of my face and my hands found his back, his muscles tensing under my touch. Austin moved his hand through my hair, gripping onto my it as I pulled him closer to me. His lips were soft but rough against mine as I felt his hands travel onto my lower back. This felt right and it felt whole. This is what love was supposed to feel like. And as his lips pushed harder and harder onto mine, I only became more and more sure of it.
