"If you don't mind me asking, what are you currently engaging yourself to read?"

Spock looked down at you without an expression.

You didnt know what to do other then stand at attention to your superior officer. He raised his eyebrow again.

"There is no reason to feel obligated to stand at attention in such an early stage of your career. You have not even boarded the Enterprise yet."

He motioned for you to sit while following and sat as well.

"Sorry, sir."

"There is no reason to apologize either."

"Sorry...I mean.."

"It is okay. What is your name?"

"I am Lieutenant (Y/N) (Y/L/N) of the U.S.S Enterprise."

You looked back down at your book and then closed it to reveal the cover to Commander Spock.

"Ah. I see. I have read that book as well in my life. Be careful for it is very easy to get immersed in the contents of it."

He nodded his head in respect before getting up to join Doctor McCoy and the pep guy.

"Well Lieutenant, it has been a pleasure meeting you."

He turned on his heels and walked on.

You were astonished at how nice the Vulcan was. Either way, you hoped to become more acquainted with him.

You walked on to the same area where a block of cadets were starting to form. You, being a higher class lieutenant, were positioned near the front of the block. You had a clear view of Doctor McCoy, the loud man, and of course Command Spock. For about a minute of waiting and standing in formation, Spock took out his personal communicator.

"Captain, everyone is ready and waiting. You are cleared to transport to the set location."

You heard a man respond almost immediately.

"Thanks Spock. Be there in a minute."

In the middle of where Commander Spock and Doctor McCoy were standing, the sparkling beam of someone transporting down began to form. As the man appeared, you could see he was wearing a Yellow Command shirt. He had light brown hair that was almost blonde. You instantly saw this man was Captain James T. Kirk himself. You were almost too excited to keep it in. You knew he would be your captain, but you never really readied yourself enough for when you actually met him. You wouldn't call him the best captain in all of Star Fleet, but he was most definitely one of your biggest heroes.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! It is a pleasure to meet all of you finally. I would go on about how you all should be proud that you were able to make it to where you all are now, but honestly I think coming aboard the Enterprise would be easier."

Three more shuttle crafts, that came from the Enterprise herself, came next. Half of the block would go in one, while the other half would be in the other. The captain, Spock, and McCoy all went into the third one.

You could hear McCoy silently curse under his breath as he stepped into another "Damn Space Box."

There were about fifteen other people on board your shuttle. They included five Lieutenants and ten ensigns.

You couldn't wait to get on board.
