Glitter. You always thought it thought it looked like water with glitter flying around in it. You always saw it when ever you transported somewhere. The sound it made when it turned on.
Transporters were a beauty in there own.
The blue wonder of the beam dispersed as you were left with the sight of the green planet that you remember far too well.
"Give me a minute, Spock. I need to get situated with my team."
Everyone spread out to just walk around.
You on the other hand, went to somewhere familiar.
You went to the cliff that nearly killed you before. This time you made sure to keep your distance, but you had a feeling that this would end up being a very special place in your heart.
You hadn't noticed Spock followed you until his hand grabbed your hand.
"I thought I informed you that I didn't not want you in the vicinity of this cliff."
"You did. I didn't listen."
His grip on your hand tightened as if he was protecting you from the cliffs jaws that could pull you down at any moment.
"Yes, I can see. I would not want you falling now."
"I appreciate your concern, Spock."
You were actually surprised the Spock was holding your hand. Your had just recently confessed your love to each other, and he was an 'emotionless' Vulcan. Yet you assumed that his human half was showing a little more then usual.
Spock pulled you away from the cliff. He let go of your hand before you got to the others. You didn't blame him. You wouldn't want Bones to be the first person to see either.
You could tell that Spock was still very sensitive about the topic of relationships. Blaming him would be for not, as he is a Vulcan.
"Alright, Spock. I think we are good to go."
"That is good, Doctor. Now, the signal that we picked up had shown that whoever in on this planet is located south of our current position. We will head in that direction until we start seeing any form of life or signs of life. At that point we will need to be more careful then we are right now."
Without saying anything else, he started walking in order for us to follow behind.
Bones cut through the other people to stand next to you.
"Hey, Champ. Where did you find the Vulcan?"
"Oh. He was in his room like I thought."
"That's nice, but...why didn't he come in the first place? That Hob-Goblin wouldn't be caught dead being late for anything."
You obviously couldn't tell him the real reason. It would not only kill you on the inside, but also Spock.
"Um...he uh...had some sort of...Vulcan headache.."
"Huh... Never thought he could get one of those."
"Yeah...m-me neither."
You came upon a steep incline that you had to climb.
Spock got up in no time, where everyone else was having more then a little trouble.
"God damn planet."
Bones kept cursing out the 'damn' planet as he struggled to pull himself up.
You were having just as much trouble until a pair of arms pulled you up by yours.
Spock lifted you up effortlessly from the incline.
"Damn you Vulcan scum!" He yelled while joking around.
"You could help us as well!"
Spock pulled everyone up after you , making sure to be less careful with poor Bones, and continued to walk the path to our destination.
"He almost broke me neck."
"Bones, I think your being a little dramatic."
"Maybe, but he is gonna kill me one day."
You shrugged and laughed at him.
"Say, how did he do that?"
"Do what, Y/N?"
"He just pulled us up like we were nothing."
"Oh...remember. He is a Vulcan they have like three times our strength or something. They're lucky I suppose."
"Yeah..."
The journey was long and boring. Every now and again, you would pass by a flower of tree that you hadn't scanned yet, but it was all pretty much the same.
You heard a noise come from the forest area next to the group. It wasn't loud, but it was loud enough for you to be alert about it. When it happened again, you were started to get suspicious.
"Uh...Spock."
"Yes, Y/N?"
"There are a lot of noises coming from the area next to us."
At this point Spock walked forward and stood in front of you protectively. As he pulled out his tricorder to scan, a phaser like weapon went off and shot one of the other science officers.
"Good god!"
Bones jumped away from the now dead officer as he disintegrated in front of us.
Everyone pulled out their phasers as Spock told them to set them on Maximum stun as it seemed like these creature were not friendly.
"Hold you ground," Spock started, "We mean you no harm."
Spock pulled out his Communicator slowly with his other hand.
"Captain, it seems like there are beings on this planet. They have shot and killed officer Kyle. Captain?"
Kirk wasn't responding.
"Mr. Spock, it seems they have turned on whatever blocked us from scanning them again," said one of the engineers in the group.
"Put down your weapons! Now!"
A voice came from the trees. It was low and rough and by no means friendly.
Spock had now almost completely covered you with his body for a shield, and he motioned for the other to back away.
"Why should we?"
The voice laughed and it sent chills down your spine.
"If you don't, then we might just have to kill someone else."
Spock motioned reluctantly for everyone to drop their weapons.
"Alright. Now, will you hear us out? We are here on a mission of peace. We are apart of Star-"
"We do not want to hear what you have to say! Hick, now!"
Someone else the was beside the voice was beside him threw out a capsule the was beeping.
Spock blocked you as you were the closest to him.
A loud bang sounded off as a high pitched ring sounded off.
Everything went black...
