"Ok, so as far as Bones and I are aware of, the people who inhabit the planet as not friendly, at least not in first contact."

"Yes, Y/N, but we also need to remember that as far as we know, they have never seen another race like us."

Kirk stood up and paced around, contemplating our first more to get Spock and the rest of the crew back. Bones was half asleep and just barely listening. He must've not gotten a lot of sleep that night on the planet. You were surprised that you had gotten any.

"Ok...ok ok ok....ok"

"Jim! We are not gonna get any where if you repeat yourself."

"Yes, Bones...I know, but unless you have any ideas of how we can make the people down there like us before they kill us, I suggest you tell me."

You now stood up so that you were almost pacing.

"You know, you two are making me feel uncomfortable. Its almost as if I should stand up as well."

Kirk stopped and you stood over Bones and placed your elbow on his head so you could use him as a table.

Bones sighed at your action but let you continue.

"Captain, I think the only possible action here is to just...take our chances. The worst tht would happen in that...well we would be taken hostage," You explained.

"Yes, but that is exactly what we don't want to happen."

You sat down next in your chair again.

"Its not like we can do anything else..."

"Y/N...are your captain and friend...I will say I am thinking of every way to get the rest of our crew back..."

"I know...Well, if you don't mind my leaving, I think I need some rest that doesn't involve a hard ground."

With that, you walked out.

"Bones...what happened down there? With Y/N?"

Bones took his head away from leaning on his hand.

"What? You mean besides the fact she saw Spock dragged away after being shocked so bad that he went unconscious? Nothing much."

"When did she start caring so much?"

"Well, now I'm just a doctor, but I'm pretty sure it started when her and Spock became a thing. That is not a professional opinion, though."

Kirk sat back down in surprise.

"Spock and-"

"Yep. Now I wouldn't go spreading that around. I'm not even completely sure I should've told you."

You sat in your bed like you normally did.

Contemplating like normal.

Sighing heavily...like normal.

'Spock...you better be alright. I barely got to speak with you at all after that night...That night..."

A flash in your room snapped you out of your thoughts as you jumped up and pulled out your phaser that was still on your belt.

"Now, Now. That wont be necessary."

You swung around to face where the voice was coming from, but no one stood there.

In another flash, the phaser was gone and it was replaced with a simple water pistol.

The voice laughed, as you threw it to the ground.

"Ah, you might need that. You might not know this, but I hate water. I'm like a cat almost."

You turned around to find an orange cat on your bed. You backed away.

"You know...I used to know a...sort of man, who owned a cat like this. He never talked to me much, though. He was very...metallic when it came to feelings."

The cat was bathed in a white light and turned into a man who sat on your bed neatly.

"Hello."

He held out his hand to shake yours.

You had then slapped his hand away and tried to push him onto the ground, but he vanished and almost made you topple to the floor.

"That is very rude. I've met two rude people today, who barely gave me a chance to talk with them."

"Who are-"

"Ah, you want my name and reason for being here, don't you?"

"You straightened yourself at the mans presence.

"Yes, I would most definitely like to know."

"Well...I suppose Ill tell you. Besides, the last time I didn't say my name, I was pinned up against the wall by my throat."

He held out his had again to shake.

"My name is Q."

You looked at his hand and back at him.

"Oh come on! Is this not what humans do to greet one another. I just want to shake hands. Please?"

The man called Q made a puppy face towards you, as you reluctantly took his hand.

"Amazing, but I don't understand why you would just want to touch someone else's hand. Don't worry, IM not diseased, but you humans sometimes appear to be."

You pushed him onto your chair.

"Tell me why you are here or I will get others in here to deal with you."

Q brushed his outfit off as he vanished and appeared behind you.

"You see, I cant tell you or else my plan will be ruined. I will say this since you haven't tried to kill me like the last person. I am conducting an experiment of some sorts. I cant tell you what I'm experimenting, but I will say...if you care so deeply about your poor Vulcan, you would go down there and get him."

"Spock..."

"Yes! Spock! Don't worry. Its as safe down there as it will ever be...well as long as you play your cards the right way."

"How do you know-"

Q was gone.

You ran out of your room so you could tell kirk what had just happened.
