Since creating a peace treaty was far from a simple matter, Jim had to continuously make calls to Star Fleet to inform them of everything, and set up the procedures for the task. Because of this, the entire ships crew literally had nothing to do. When people got tired of hanging out among each other, the quite literally locked themselves in their room to do nothing. A few members still visited each other in the scattered bars throughout the Ship, and some people took time to walk through the ship, to where they even found rooms that they had never seen before.

You would be lying if you said you weren't dealing with the same problem. You and you friend had hung out for three days straight until you realized you both were on the verge of decking each other in the face if you together any longer.

Spock, since he was the first officer, didn't have the "luxury", if you could call it that, or being allowed to do absolutely nothing. Even though if he did, he would still probably find something for himself to do.

To cope with you shear boredom, you read more books of the series Spock had lent you. To be honest, ever since you put them down, it had been hard for you to pick reading back up since the outside world seems so much more interesting to you now. On Earth, and even during your studies in Star Fleet, you found yourself reading almost 24/7 since the worlds inside the pages of books seemed so much more interesting than real life. As soon as you joined the crew of the Enterprise, you found your opinion on that change dramatically.

As you read, you stayed in Kirk's quarters since he allowed you to use the large table that you all usually played cards at. You sat in the far back on the room at the end of the table. Your head lay in your right hand as your left unwillingly held up the thick book that you showed no interest in anymore.

You felt yourself daydreaming as you read, forcing yourself to reread the last sentences since you had no idea what you had just read.

In an instant, your hand let go of the book as it made a thudding sound on the glass table, and at the same time, you head hit the table as well. Sighing extremely obnoxiously, you heard the front door swing open from where you sat. Not bothering you look up, you heard the footsteps grow closer to you.

"Champ? Are you asleep or...?"

You slowly raise your head to see the grumpy country man looking down at you with a raised brow.

"Bones...Im bored."

He rolled his eyes.

"Who isnt?" He pulled up a chair to you and sat down heavily into it and laid back lazily.

"I havent had a single patient in a week. Im not usually one to complain about that sort of thing, but now I kind of want someone to fall down and brake an arm."

You chuckled at his comment.

He smiled warmly that you laughed and looked down at the glass table.

"I have an idea," he said before hitting two buttons on the side of the glass. As he did that, two screens lit up inside the glass in front of you. He touched the tablet and as he did, it drew whatever he did.

You looked down at the screens and gave him a confused look.

"Lets both draw something," he said with a smile.

"Bones, I cant draw for my life."

"Neither can I, Champ. Thats the point." He chuckled.

"Now, draw a cat."

"Bones?"

"Cat," is all he responded with as he motioned for you to draw on the screen with your finger.

You rolled your eyes playfully as you began to move your figure in the shape of what was kind of a cat, but in reality looked like some horrifying creature than a cat.

It only took a minute for you two to finish you "masterpieces."

Bones was already hiding his face with his hands and giggling like a mad man at what monstrosity he had created. None of the legs were the same length, and the face was constructed of two dots and a body on top of a bean shaped body. You quickly covered your mouth in shock as you tried to contain your laughter. As he saw your reaction, he let loose. He bent down onto the floor as he cried with laughter.

"Bones! What the hell is that?"

This went on for hours as you both kept each other company with drawing loads of disfigured animals, poor representations of people that you knew, and down right terrifying portraits of each other.

With as much laughter that was passed back and forth, you both was cursed with a permanent smile across your faces.

"Ya know, Champ. I think Im getting better at this," he said as he drew a leg that looked more like a bent french fry.

"In your dreams, Country boy."

"Oh," he looked up with a laugh, "You're giving me nicknames now, are ya?"

"Of course not, Country boy."

You both laughed as you continued to draw "amazing" works of art.
