"I have learned from others that it is polite to give a special someone a gift. Am I correct?"
You looked at Spock with a confused expression. He had invited you to his room when you were taken away from the bar. It didnt seem right to sit at a table in his room. Spock always seemed the type to hate when others were in his room.
                              "Gift?" you said in confusion.
"Yes. One with a deeper purpose. Deeper meaning. " When he said this, you could tell he looked down as to not keep eye contact.
"I mean...I never thought gift-giving was necessary, but I do know what you mean," you replied softly.

Spock lifted his hand gently from under the table that you hadn't noticed was under it in the first place. In it, he held a long black case that seemed to be some sort of velvet.
"My mother had allowed me to give this to you. She said it would hold a deeper meaning then anything else I could give to you since it holds a deeper connection to me in itself."
You reluctantly held the case not knowing if you should open it. Looking up at Spock, you realized he had a small look of wonder in his eyes as he watched you hold it.
"I hope you find it as amazing as I find you to be." He said this in a way that made it seem that he was unfazed by it. You however, were not unfazed.
Wide-eyed, you gently opened the case revealing a silver necklace that held a small blue gem in the center of the pendant that hung of the elegant chain.
"Spock...I dont know what to say, but...thank you. I hope you know that I dont want to seem as if I want gifts."
"Not at all, Y/N. In fact," he began to stand up quietly, "I have been wanting to give this to you for a while."

He gently picked up the necklace from the case you held.
Minding you neck, he softly wrapped it around to the back and clasped it on.
"It was my mothers for the longest time. That is until she gave it to me. Before I left for Star Fleet, she gave it to me, explaining how I was oddly attracted to it when I was a young child. I of course recall nothing of this, but I still find myself looking at it from time to time."
He stepped back, making only the smallest sound in the quiet room when he did so. Looking down, you noticed how the blue gem seemed to almost glow in the faintest way. It was an amazing sight as you smiled at it.

Turning back to see Spock standing with his arms clasped behind his back, you stood to match his posture in front of him. He looked down, towering over you as you smiled up at him. Where he face was emotionless, his eyes showed all they needed for you to see he was at least slightly happy.
Slowly, you stepped forward and hugged him. The side of your head rested against his chest. There was no hesitation this time, for almost immediately, you felt his long arms wrap around you.
He held you there with him for a minute before gently grabbing you hand as he moved your fingers to where you middle and index fingers were touching his. You smiled wildly as he ever so slightly rocked you back and forth.

                              ~Qs POV~
"This...makes no sense... I thought he didnt have emotions."
Q paced back and forth in his blank white room of a mind.
"Damn Vulcans. Why cant they just choose which way to go? Emotions? No emotions?"
He stopped and watched Spock and you sway back and forth as he groaned in disgust.
"Why should I care? Im here for the whole Enterprise, not some damn love story."
                              He furrowed his eyebrows.
"Doesnt help that Y/Ns the only damn person good enough to help me...but no. She has to be all good and not help me. Me! Im Q! She has to help me....right?"
He sat down angrily as he was caught by a chair that appeared just in time.
                              "She'll help...one way or another."
He smiled evilly to himself as the picture of you and Spock began to fade from his vision.
