He still didn't call...
"Have some faith in him" kept ringing through my head. I gave him a chance. I gave him many chances, but he never tried to get in contact with me. Not even a simple text message.
"He came home yesterday." I told Ada. She was back home now and the house was finally full again.
She knew that already because Dean came home late last night as well. It was so awkward to be in the same house with her when all she did was kiss her husband. They were always the more affectionate couple, but it was even worse when they weren't in public.
"Dean invited him over to hang out today."
"Did he do that for me? Please tell me he didn't do that for me."
She gave me a look and I knew. "Yeah, he sort of did. Dean's been around the both of you and it's not a pretty site on either side. Roman's quieter than usual and you're just quiet, and I've never seen you quiet a day in my life."
"I don't want him to come over here because he was invited. I want him to come because he wants to see us, which doesn't seem like its going to happen."
"You never know, he could come over here with a bouquet of roses and chocolates, begging for you back."
"If he brings me roses and chocolates I will throw them in his face."
Ada's eyes almost bulged out of her eye sockets, "What? Why?"
"First of all, roses are so cliché, secondly, I hate chocolates, and third, I don't want a gift, I want my husband back. If I just get that, I would be the happiest woman alive."
"Actually, you'd be the second happiest woman alive. My Deany is finally home!"
I rolled my eyes and pushed her lightly, "You're terrible. I'm going to go take a nap, if London wakes up before I get up, give her a banana."
"What is with her and bananas?"
"It's all she would eat for like the first year after baby food. She loves them."
She got the point and nodded her head. I went upstairs and checked on London and Aiden, who were sleep in his room after a morning of nothing but toys and playing. It was nice for her to have a friend that was around her age while we were away from home, so I didn't feel too bad about taking her with me when we left.
I laid down and checked my phone and I wasn't even surprised when I saw that nothing was there. No calls. No messages. Not one thing.
I woke up from the doorbell ringing, which was a con of being at Ada's house. No matter where you were in her house, upstairs or downstairs, you would hear the doorbell as if you were standing right next to it.
I groaned and looked at the time to see that I was only asleep for about an hour and a half. It felt good to rest, so I got up and went into the bathroom to make sure I looked okay before I went back downstairs.
As I walked passed Aiden's room, I saw that the kids weren't there anymore, so I smiled because I had planned on playing with London when she woke up. She loved stuffed animals, and tea parties, and dolls.
"Daddy!" I heard and I froze.
That was London's little voice...and she was screaming Daddy. Roman was the one at the door. Oh no.
I had to be brave about this. I couldn't run away from it like a baby...speaking of babies, it still hadn't sunk in yet that I was having one. I was carrying a child.
I took a deep breath and went downstairs. Right when I hit the bottom of the stairs, I saw him. I saw him, and his smile, and his hair, and his everything.
