St. Louis

"It's so pretty here."

I had never been to St. Louis, but from the view I was getting from our hotel room, it was a beautiful city.

"It's even better at night." Roman said. He stepped up behind me and look out the window with me. "I'm really happy you decided to come."

"Anything to not stay at home for the next four days with two energetic little girls." I laughed and leaned back on him, "I'm kidding, it's really nice to come to a show again."

"Raw will be even better with you there."

"I'll just be in the audience trying to act normal, but it probably will be a disaster considering people know I'm your wife."

"You'll be with the girls, they won't mob you with the girls right there."

"Let's hope so. It's going to be weird seeing you wrestle out there. I haven't done that since...wow, it's been a long time. After my first time out there you just told me to start coming straight backstage."

"It's no different. I look the same, do the same moves, it's just right there in your face."

"London's going to flip out when she sees you so close. She's never been out there up so close, so she'll have a blast."

I tried thinking of how the girls would react when he came out. We had tickets on the floor, right there in the first row, on the side that would be on TV, which was nerve wracking since I didn't like cameras.

Roman insisted, though. He said if we were going to be out there, we might as well get the best seats.

"I'm worried about Penelope." I told him.

He pressed a kiss to the top of my head, "What's wrong?"

"She hasn't said her first words yet."

"Every baby does things differently, babe."

"I know but she's almost one and she just babbles on in her own little world every now and then."

"She's a quiet baby, you know that."

"Yeah, I guess. It seems weird, though, you know? She only does certain things when she's around me and it scares me."

"No need to be scared, I promise. She's fine. I'd be worried if she didn't make any kind of effort to talk, but she does. Even if it's not a lot, she talks, right? She'll go at her own pace."

"I guess."

I still wasn't convinced. She was nine months, that was around the age she should have at least said something simple like 'Mama' or 'Dada', but nothing yet.

"Come on, I'll show you." he pulled me over to the bed the girls were sleeping in. He grabbed Penelope off the bed and held her in the air, "Penny, wake up."

She squirmed until she saw it was Roman holding her, immediately going into her baby talk.

"Penny, say 'Mama'."

She babbled on, stuffing her fist into her mouth and drooling all over it.

"Penny, say 'Mama'."

Still nothing.

I sat down on the bed and watched him swing her around. It was one of the few times I saw him and Penny bond without someone else being around.

She did her cute laugh and he seemed to be having the time of his life playing with her.

He sat her down on the bed and sat down on the other side of her, putting her in the middle. She was able to sit up on her own, which was good, I guess.
