Anniversary of the Lost and Found

Roman had chosen Pensacola as their location for their anniversary weekend. His wife wasn't thrilled because they'd soon be moving there, but she promised he could pick, so she dealt with it.

It was still sunny outside, even being November. A little chilly at night, but nothing but sunshine during the day.

Chase stood out on the balcony of their hotel room, intrigued by how nice Pensacola looked from the perspective of someone who wasn't visiting for a few days. She'd soon be living here, and she had to accept that.

The beach across from their hotel couldn't be anymore beautiful. The water reflected the sun's rays so perfectly that even she was mesmerized by her new home of Pensacola.

"Do you like it?"

"Yeah, it's nice out here."

"The beach is in our backyard now. I'll take you to the house while we're here if you want. We're more inner city, but the fact that a beach is nothing but a drive away sounds nice."

She nodded and folded her arms over her chest.

"Why can't you at least have a positive attitude, babe?"

"I do."

"No, you don't. You already have your nose turned up about it." He walked back into their hotel room, "Give it a chance."

"I'm giving it a chance, Roman. If I wasn't I'd be complaining. Am I complaining?"

"No."

She stood and watched him get ready to settle in and watch tv. It was his comfort zone.

She walked over and sat down in his lap, "I love you."

He grabbed the remote, "Love you too."

"Hey," she grabbed his face, "I mean it, I love you."

"I love you too."

"And I appreciate you." that seemed to spark his interest. "You're an amazing man, husband, father, brother, son-"

"Uh oh, what did you do?"

She laughed, "Nothing, it's our anniversary, I'm trying to be a good wife here."

"Save it for later, babe."

"Why?"

"I have surprises."

"Okay, okay, I'll save the mushy stuff."

"Thank you very much."

Chase smiled and got comfortable next to him, "Can we take a nap?"
