"Smile, babe."

I looked up at him with the most uncomfortable look possible, "I'm not good with pictures, Roman, you know this."

"Just smile."

I turned to the cameras and tried to smile. It probably looked fake, but it was the best I could do. I was used to skipping this part and meeting Roman later.

"You have to have some by yourself too, okay?" he leaned down to my ear, "You look beautiful, okay? No worries."

That got a light smile out of me. He stepped over a few feet and left me there to look however I looked. I smiled and people were telling me to look one way and then the other. It got better after a while, but I still never understood how people just stood there and let people take hundreds of pictures of them.

Roman grabbed my hand and took me farther down the red carpet (yeah, it was that fancy), and stopped in front of this woman who I heard calling his name from a mile away.

"Hi, Roman, how are you?" she beamed, shoving the microphone in his face.

"I'm great how are you?"

"Oh, you know, just interviewing everyone I can." she smiled and looked over at me. "And of course this has to be your wife."

"Of course, I couldn't leave her at home for something like this." Roman wrapped his arm loosely around my waist, "I had to show her off a bit."

"By the way, your dress is to die for!"

It took me a few moments to realize she was talking to me, and I tried to speak back, but the words wouldn't come out of my mouth. "I, uh...thank you."

I felt Roman looking down at me, and sure enough when I looked up at him, he was giving me one of those sad looks. It was like he felt bad that I wasn't comfortable.

"Is this your first charity event?"

"Yeah, it is."

"Are you excited? How has it been for you so far?"

"It's a lot to take in all at once. I'm not used to the noise and the fans and the pictures, but it's all worth it when you're giving back to such a wonderful cause." I told her.

It had been announced that the proceeds from today would go to a children's research hospital in Southern California.

Once I started talking a little bit more, I felt Roman relax, which was more settling for me too.

We moved further and further down the line, talking to more and more people, and it became fun. Everyone told me I looked good, Roman looked good, so this was a great start to a great night.

"Mr. Reigns, your table is this way."

It was really fancy. The room was packed with superstars and their wives, girlfriends, friends, or anyone else you could think of.

We got to our seats, Roman being a gentleman and pulling out my chair.

"May I start you out with anything to drink?"

"Lemonade, please."

"The same for me." Roman said.

There were name placards on our table and it said Dean and Ada were supposed to be sitting at our table too, along with Seth and new girlfriend Jessica.

I never knew what happened to his old girlfriend, but I wasn't the type to pry and ask questions.

There was a big stage set up in front of us, chairs lined up on the stage and a podium in front of everything.
