"You don't get to decide anything!"
"I'm the man of this household, Chase!"
"What the hell is that supposed to mean to me?!"
"Maybe if you showed me just the smallest amount of respect, you'd know!"
"You don't get to decide we're moving and not tell me about it! I'm a factor in this relationship and what the hell we do!"
"You make every other decision, Chase, I'm sorry for finally making one on my own!"
"What are you even talking about?! I don't make all the decisions!"
"This house was your decision, the furniture, the person who signed the papers for the house, the cars were your decision! We can't have another baby because you don't want one, we--"
Her mouth dropped, "That is not true!"
"Tell me one thing I said that was a lie then!" he knew she wouldn't have an answer, "We're moving. Get the hell over it and start packing."
"I don't even understand why you're doing this!"
"It'll be better for us!"
"For us or for you?!"
"For all of us! We have so many bad memories here--"
"Moving away from them doesn't make them go away, Roman Reigns, and if for one second you think I'm moving to Pensacola, Florida you've got another thing coming!"
"Well, I guess you'll be here alone." He crossed his arms over his chest, stood upright, and said, "Whether you want this or not, it's happening. When we get there, you'll see that it's better."
"And what if it's not?"
"Then we'll get through it together."
She walked out of their kitchen and off to another room that wasn't visible to him. He saw her run her fingers through her hair in anger from the lost battle, but he knew his wife never went do without a struggle or some type of fight.
He took a deep breath and let it all sink in.
Sure, it was sudden, but it had been in the works for quite some time now. He had saved for a pretty long time for the house of their dreams (which she knew about, but didn't know it wouldn't be in Chicago), and was building a house from the ground up, just the way they wanted.
Sure, it was going to take a while for it to be built, but his parents were down there and he had made arrangements to stay there until the house was finished (he just remembered she didn't know about that tiny part).
He shook his head and went to find her. Oh, joy. Something else to argue about. Dammit. He kinda wanted some heated sex tonight, but this might push her too far and she'd be too pissed to even lay near him in bed.
He stopped.
Heated sex...tell her....heated sex...tell her?
Could he possibly tell her after the heated sex? Dammit, why was this so hard, he thought.
Okay. Be a man. Tell her now. But something in him, the teenage boy in him, wanted that good old heated sex.
Okay. Just tell her. Maybe it'll happen anyway.
He walked into the guest bedroom and saw her laid out in the bed like it was her last day on Earth.
"The house isn't ready yet."
"You've said that already." She mumbled.
"We're staying with my parents until it's done."
"Your parents hate me."
