What is That?!? (Gabriel's POV)

Beginning of November (Gabriel's POV)

 "Johanna, he went that way!"

She gives a short nod and then takes off through the streets. I jump off the ground and onto the roof of a corporate building. I begin running and jumping over the roofs, looking for the one who had escaped us. I don't see him but I hear his ragged breathing and his fast beating heart. I run faster. On the ground at my right, I see Johanna racing for him too. Her now red eyes look up at me and twinkle.

I stop. He is in the alley just below me. I point down and Johanna nods. Slowly, sweetly, Johanna walks into the alley. I watch the scene from above.

"Hello?" She calls, "I know you're in here."

 The guy runs out from behind a dumpster towards the opposite end of the alley.

"Earth," Johanna says and lifts her hands palm up towards the sky. The ground at the end of the alley lifts, forming another wall. The guy whimpers, afraid of her, before trying to climb the wall. I laugh and drop onto the top of the wall, my foot landing on the man's hand.

"Trying to run away from my wife? I don't advise it." I press my foot into his hand harder. He drops back to the ground and I laugh when I drop effortlessly in front of him. The look on his face is priceless as he stands between Johanna and I, not sure of what to do or who he wants to kill him.

Johanna skips over to me and kisses my blood stained lips. The guy takes the opportunity to run towards the entrance that Johanna had been blocking. My eyes glow red and I hold out my hand towards him. A wall of fire combusts in front of him; Trapping him with us and between a fire and a wall.

"Don't move," I command, "I don't like my food crispy." He turns, scared.

Johanna flourishes her hands across her neck and says, "Air." The man starts choking. She took his oxygen away from him. I stroll over to him and sink my teeth into his neck. Johanna follows me and soon we are sharing a delicious human milkshake.

"That was fun," she says pleasantly while wiping the blood from her lips and re-applying a coat of lipstick.

 I sigh, "Yeah, it was. You know, Jo, I kind of miss doing this all of the time."

 "I miss it to, Gabriel. But I miss our kids more right now."

 "Your right," the glow from my eyes disappears and then so does the fire.

 "Well, we'll be home early tomorrow morning." She waves her hands down, "Earth." The wall she had created lowers back to its rightful place in the ground. The alley looked as if we hadn't ever been there.

"Hey, kids! Gosh, we missed you," Johanna sighs into Drew and I breathe in the familiar, safe scent of Nikola.

 "What did you two do while we were gone?" I asked.
