Darling:
Trevor's POV••
It was freezing and the sky was gray. The sun hadn't come out the whole day and the breeze kept on blowing from the west, shaking the branches of the tree. I don't know why I decided to go out for a walk. Maybe because I love how the coldness hits me and the warmness of my jacket covers me like a blanket, protecting me from the storm.
But for some reason, I felt like I needed to get away. Away from my dark and depressing room. Away from the same thing every day. I just needed to get away. And the little park that's about 15 minutes away walking was just perfect.
I walked on the sidewalk, being pushed aside by the people who were fast walking by and by skateboarders going too fast to stop. I've walked the cracked up and dry sidewalk so many times I know the number of cracks and where they are.
After walking in the cold air I arrived to the park and no one was there. The park would usually be full of little kids running around and dogs and grownups and couples but right now, it's deserted. I shrugged my shoulders and walked over to one of the swings.
When I sat down I saw a figure curled up in a ball, the body shaking under a tree. The more I kept watching the more I realised what was happening. The figure was the body of a girl and she was either crying or shivering. She was wearing black jeans, worn out shoes and a hoodie, her hair hiding her face. Each minute that passed by was another minute that got colder and each minute it got colder, the harder she started to shake.I finally got off the swing and slowly made my way to her. I bent down to her level and cleared my throat. She must've not heard because she kept on shaking.
"Excuse me." I softly said, not wanting to startle her. She didn't look up or even move, but she did keep on shaking.
"Excuse me." I said a little louder and tapped her shoulder. She jerked back and lifted her head to look at me. She had black smudge under her eyes and she was very pale. Her eyes were sad and bloodshot, her cheeks tear stained.
"Are you okay?" I asked, reaching out to her. She just shook and kept looking at me.
"I'm cold." was all she said in a hoarse voice. I got up and noticed I was covered in a thin layer of snow.
"Yea, it's pretty cold." I said and took of my jacket, handing it to her. She smiled and put the jacket on her as I took out my phone.
"Who are you calling?" she asked in a panic tone
"The taxi. It's to cold to walk 15 minutes." I said before dialing the number. After getting off the phone, I saw that she was asleep under the tree, my jacket wrapped around her.
"Don't worry darling, you'll be safe." I whispered and pressed a kiss on her temple.
