"You know, I have hope for this school." Matt said brightly while riding on the bus back with sister.

"That's probably because you actually get to start you day in an actually interesting class." Katie slumped as she stared at the seat in front of her with disappointment. "I can already tell this is going to be a miserable year for me."

"Ah come on." Matt sighed. "You can't judge the whole year by the first day."

"Well, lets see." Katie said as she sat straight up obviously in an annoyed mood. "I was accidentally stuck into the slow kids science and math classes! When I had asked for my elective course to be technology, I was given art! My science partner is a total flirt! I have no classes with you! I have to start every day in the worse class in existence! And upon that I sit right next to a disney princess in my english class! So yeah Matt, I'm going to have so much fun!"

Matt pause for a moment, than asked, "A disney princess?"

"Yeah, some blonde girl who decided to grow her hair to her ankles and braid it." Katie answered.

"I think I saw her in the hall. What's her name? Don't tell me it's Repunzel."

"Nah, it's like Haylee or Hayden or something. I can't remember. I don't care to remember."

"Well," Matt said. "Did you make any new friends? I did."

"Really? 'Cause I'm probably far from making any new friends. All of them are either weird or popular. None of which are worth my time." Katie sighed as she turned her head to look out the window.

"Okay, so you didn't have the best experience with the people there, but what about the school it's self. It's it nice?" Matt said desperately trying to get his sister into a better mood.

"Yeah, the build is at least less trash than the elementary, and the janitor actually care about the toilets. But everything is way too big for me given my short height! And don't get me started on the uniforms the school requires us to wear. It's like they want us to suffer through the school year. I'd rather be in jail honestly."

"Well, just be glad you only have to go through one year." Matt suggested.

"Yup." Katie admitted. "And than I can go to the Garrisons."

"With Shiro." Matt smiled. "We all know that's why you really want to go. So you can see him more."

"Matt!" Katie yelled as she turned to her brother. "I do not like like him! In fact, I hate him!"

"Sure." Matt smirked.

"Why do you keep thinking that?!" Katie sighed annoyed. "All he had ever been to me is a jerk! And you expect me to fall in love in with him?!"

The bus than came to a stop as it let off Katie and Matt. "Maybe." Matt said as he walked to the house.

"If nothing else, he too old. He is going into high school, and I am in middle school. Shouldn't I pick someone in my grade? You know, someone actually close to my age?" Katie ranted.

"Mom and Dad are four years apart." Matt informed his twin sister.

"Well Mom was crazy when she married someone so much older than her!"

"But Mom and Dad are happy together. Are they not?" Matt posed to his sister.

"No. I'm not saying Mom and Dad aren't ment for each other, I'm just saying four years is a little much." Katie explained.

"Isn't happiness all that matters?"

"But I'm not happy with Takashi!" Katie grunted with anger. "I hate him to death!"

"Woah! Hate is a strong word, Katie!"

"Well if I don't use strong words, people won't know how I actually feel!" Katie said as she opened their front door. Inside though Colleen seemed to be in a rush as she grabbed things here and there.

"Katie dear?" Colleen quickly said. "I have to take Matt to his dentist appointment. And we have to leave soon. See you later." She than knelt down and kissed her daughter on the forehead.

"Wait!" Katie said with worry. "You're leaving me alone?!"

"No! Not at all! Don't you remember? Shiro is here! He can watch you!" Colleen answered. "Now remember, Dad is coming home at six, dinner is in the oven, and I don't want you hiding in your room. Shiro must know where you are at all times."

Shiro than walking into the entry way. "Don't worry Mrs. Holt. Your Katie is safe with me."

Colleen than looked up at Shiro. "Thank you so much! I'll see you soon!" She than grabbed Matt by the wrist and headed out the door and left.

Shiro and Katie were left home alone for the next three hours.

I know I didn't update last week. I wrote some of the chapter, but was never able to finish it before I had to go to a summer camp for a week where electronics weren't allowed. Sorry about that.
