Katie looked at Shiro awkwardly as an awkward silence had been laid before them after the door was shut. "So..." Shiro spoke up.
Katie sighed as she went upstairs to put her bag away.
"Where are you going?" Shiro asked. "Your mother said for you to stay out of your room!"
"I'm just placing my backpack in my room!" She yelled back. She than walked back after placing her backpack in her room and started to walk back down the stairs. "You have a problem with that?" She muttered as she rolled her eyes.
"No." He answered. "I was just making sure."
"Whatever." She wasn't looking forward to this. Takashi, out of all people, was babysitting her. She wasn't even a young child who needed babysitting. She was twelve!
"So what do you want to do?" Shiro asked.
"What do you mean?" Katie asked.
"I mean, we are suppose to stay together so we might as well do something together." Shiro stated.
"I'm not doing anything with you!" Katie scoffed. "So if you could just leave me be as I go and be bored on the couch, that would be great." She than plopped onto the couch as she let out a sigh and stared at the ceiling.
Shiro than sat down at the other end of the couch and said, "Wanna play something? Some game you are interested in?" Shiro asked.
Katie looked up to him with a confused looked. "I thought you weren't the kind of gamer person?" Katie questioned.
"I'm not." He plainly answered. "But does it really matter? I'd rather do that than nothing."
"I'd rather do nothing than to play with you." She answered. "Plus, I don't usually play without Matt, because he is the only one who can give me a challenge. Even hard mode computers are too easy. You wouldn't be anything at all." She than continued to look at the ceiling.
"Than teach me." He suggested.
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because you're hopeless no matter what." Katie sighed. "Now can you please leave me be."
"Nope. I'm following you mom's orders." Shiro answered.
Katie groaned. "Ugh! Have you never broke rules before?!"
"And you have?" Shiro asked.
"See. You're hopeless." Katie remarked.
"Hey!" Shiro spat. "Just because I follow rules doesn't mean I'm terrible at a game."
"Yes it does."
"Prove it."
---
Katie could let down a challenge. She showed him how to play her's and Matt's favorite game, and than started to duel against him.
The funny thing was, Shiro was a natural. After the first few times playing it, it got the hang of it, and not only was able to rival Katie, but he beat her. Seven times in a row.
Katie threw her controller down in frustration, as she exclaimed, "HOW!?"
Shiro laughed as he said, "Beginners luck?"
"Beginners luck doesn't win you seven duels in a row against me!" She exclaimed. "Matt would be lucky to get four!"
Shiro laughed as he said, "I guess you underestimated me."
"I CALL REMATCH!" Katie demanded again.
"Okay, but be prepared to get beaten again." He smiled.
And once again, Shiro won.
"I DON'T UNDERSTAND!" Katie exclaimed. "There is no possible way! You have to have been cheating!"
"I wasn't!" Shiro pleaded as he laughed some more. "I swear!"
"Don't tell Matt this happened." Katie muttered.
"What was that?" Shiro smiled as he pretended to have terrible ears. "Tell Matt!?"
Katie's head jolted his direction as she gave him a deadly stare. "Look! If you tell him, I'll have your head!"
"Fine okay!" He smiled. "I won't tell him."
"Promise?!" Katie demanded.
"Promise." He assured her.
"But since I did something you enjoy, why don't we switch to something I enjoy." Shiro suggested.
