Chapter Twenty

"Hailey, please leave the dogs alone..." The investigator sighed as he drove the car to the school.

Hailey had short blonde hair cut in a pixie cut. She had bright blue eyes as she was a couple of years younger than her partner. She had ADHD which often left him questioning how she even graduated college. "Okay Timmy!" She smiled as she sat correctly in her seat and looked forward.

"Don't call me that." He replied.

"Timaru! Tim Tom! T-man!" She was listed off nicknames.

"My name is Timothy and that is what you will address me by." He seemed a little frustrated. "That or Agent Lipman." Newalt was a fake name, for cover reasons.

She sighed. "Fine..." She paused. "Timothia."

"For goodess sake! Hailey, is it really that hard!?" He asked very annoyed with her.

"No." She answered.

"Than say it!" He replied. "Say my name! Timothy!"

"Timothy." She replied.

"Thank you!" He than mumbled. "...why was I assigned to you?"

"So!" She spoke up. "We're looking for the Samuel Holt's daughter!" She smiled. She found it such an honor.

He sighed. "We are looking for a twelve year old girl named Katie Holt. That's the only way you should look at it."

"Why is that so important?" She asked. "Don't you find it a privilege?"

"Hailey. If we see it that way, we won't see the person as an actual person, it'd be more like a possession."

"Fine. Whatever. Ruin all the fun. We're looking for Katie Holt. Better?"

"We're here." He said as he parked the car in the parking lot.

He got out of the car as he got the dogs out of the back. He gave one leach to Hailey as he took the other dog.

"Come on, boy!" Hailey smiled as the dog jumped out of the car and towards her. Timothy just whistled as the dog followed him.

"This way." Timothy motion as he walked towards the dumpsters. Hailey followed joyfully. Honestly, she found this more of a game than a job.

Once they reached the dumpsters, they had the dogs smell the blood area as they started to head out. Hailey and Timothy followed the dogs. Hailey smiled, "We're getting somewhere!"

Timothy rolled his eyes. Sometimes, she was excited over nothing. The dogs started to head towards the woods by the school. In there, they just kept going farther and farther.

After a while, Hailey looked down. "Look a bracelet!" She picked it up. It was a chained bracelet with a star pendant on it as it said: Twins

"Put that in a bag." Timothy said.

"Fine." She pulled a ziplock bag and placed it inside. She than put it in her backpack. They continued onward.

The woods started to become a little more dark as they heard creatures scampering. Hailey was scared easily. She held onto his arm as she exclaimed in fear, "What was that!?"

"Animals live here." Timothy sighed. He than pushed her off his arm.

"Yeah!" She nervously laughed as she continued to walk. Hailey than noticed something ahead. "What's that!?" She ran to it, her dog catching up with her.

Timothy sighed as he decided to run after her. But than Hailey stopped. She gasped as she covered her mouth. "No... It can't be..." She looked like she was going to cry.

"Gather the evidence and the DNA. We need to check this back at the lab..."
