Adams p.o.v

I hear Avery call my name right as I changed into some clothes. I go to open the door but it's locked.

"Fuck," she mutters as I hear her moving around. I hear a loud thud as I keep trying to open the door.

"Avery, sweetheart you okay in there?" I ask as I knock on the door, but don't hear anything. I try to open the door again with no luck.

"Sweetheart, open the door," I say, getting no response back. "Shit," I say as I step back and push myself through the door.

When the doors down, the sight in front of me breaks my heart. Avery is lying unconscious in the bathroom floor, blood running from her head. I rush over to Avery and pick her up gently.

I lay her on the bed and move her hair out of her face. My poor Avery. She's been through too much.

I go into the bathroom and grab a wash cloth, soaking it in warm water. I walk back over to Avery and wipe her head, cleaning of the still wet blood from where it must have hit the counter.

As I'm wiping her head she groans, but doesn't wake up. She unconsciously grabs my arm, curling towards it. "It's ok sweetheart," I whisper.

I sit there for a while, just watching her. I gently release my arm from her grip and walk downstairs to go to her house to get her medication and some of her clothes.

I walk into the house, seeing it the way I left it. I walk into the kitchen to see her pill bottles scattered all over the floor. I slowly walk towards the mess, crouching to pick them up and put them back in the bag.

I walk up her stairs toward her room, and open the door. The sight still shocks me. Her clothes are scattered, furniture broken to pieces. How could someone do this to her? I try not to stay in there long as I grab some clothes and stuff for her and make my way back to my house.

I set her stuff on the kitchen counter and grab an ice pack for her head. When I walk into the room, I see Avery sit up.

Averys p.o.v

I wake up in Adams bed. I don't remember much about what happened last night.

I go to sit up right as Adam walks in. "You need to lay back down love," Adam says as he walks towards me and lays me back down.

"What-," I stop talking as I feel my head throb with each word. "You hit your head," he says as he puts an ice pack to my head. I wince and hit his hand away.

"What are you talking about?" I ask as I look toward the bathroom. I see the door in pieces on the floor, with blood on the floor.

"You don't remember?" He asks as he looks towards the bathroom. "Uhh, not really," I say as I close my eyes, groaning.

"Get some rest sweetheart," Adam says as he holds the ice pack to my head. I close my eyes and fall asleep. Not long after, I start to remember what happened in the bathroom.

It comes back like a dream. I had gotten dizzy and fallen trying to open the door. But what happened in the dream, was different. I go to open the door, and when it opens, it reveals my father.

I wake up and run to the bathroom, throwing up whatever's in my stomach. I feel Adam as his hands rubs my back and he pulls back my hair. He didn't say anything as I sit there, exhausted from the recent events.

"Let's get you back to bed love, I think you've been up too much," he says as he lifts me up and carries me toward his bed. I oblige to the comfort of his bed. I lay down under the covers, cuddling up to the
blankets.

He goes to leave when I grab his hand. "Please don't leave," I say as I pull him towards me. He lays down reluctantly behind me and pulls me toward him.

I fall into a restless slumber for once. When I wake up, I look at the clock to see it's midnight.

I look toward the door and see a figure standing there. I sit up in a panic, regretting it once the pounding in my head begins.

"It's just me love," Adam says as he walks in, the moonlight shining over his face. "You scared the shit out of me," I say as I put a hand toward my chest.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to wake you," he says as he sits beside my legs. "How are you feeling?" He asks as he feels my forehead.

"My head hurts like a bitch and I'm really hot. I think I might be sick," I say as I lay back down. "Aww sweetheart," he says as he holds my hand.

"Can you get my anxiety meds?" I ask him as I feel my hands start to shake. "Yea, are you okay love?" He asks as he gets up and walks downstairs. He returns with an orange bottle and some water. "Yea," I say, it comes out shaky, "you just scared me," I say as I shakily try to open the bottle, spilling the pills all over me.

"Fuck," I say as I go to pick them up. "Calm down sweetheart," Adam says as he hands me some pills and I take one. He picks up the rest and puts them back in the bottle.

"I didn't mean to scare you so bad sweetheart," he says as he brushes my hair from my face. "It's ok. It wasn't your fault," I say as I lay back down.

"I'm tired Adam," I say as I close my eyes. "Go to sleep love, I'll be here when you wake up," he says as I get pulled into sleep.
