I'm pulled out of my slumber by the click of the door closing. My eyes slowly open, adjusting to the light. When my eyes are finally open, they focus on Jake.

"Hey," he says, a smile growing on his face. I smile back and attempt to move out of Adams embrace. I huff and end up giving up, not having the strength to do much damage.

I hear Jake laugh as he pries Adams arms off of me and pushes him off the bed. I hear Adam make a sound of surprise as he groans. "What the hell," he says, his voice full of sleep. I try not to laugh as Jake chuckles.

"Morning," I say, producing a small giggle. "Why the hell did I get pushed off the bed?" He says, getting up off the floor. "Hey, I'm innocent," I say, my hands in the air. Adam just gives me a side look and laughs.

"Ok question, when can I get the hell out of here?" I ask, my gaze shifting from the two of them. Jake sighs as he sits on the bed next to me. "They said they have to keep you for a couple more days," he says, his face showing that there's more. "Ok... what else?" I say, and he looks at me confused.

"Don't play with me Jake, I know there's more," I say and glare at him. He sighs and grabs my hand. "They had to contact the police because you had a bullet wound. It's policy. You're gonna have to talk to them and tell them what happened," he says, making my hands shake.

"No. I'm not talking to the police," I say, pulling my hand from his grip. "Sweetheart," Adam starts, "no. I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for you!" I yell, tears pouring out of my eyes.

My heart starts to beat faster as do the machines. The door is pushed open as the nurse rushes in. "Avery, you need to calm down. You can't stress or you won't heal properly and you can injure yourself more," the nurse says and my breathing begins to increase.

The tears continue to fall as I attempt to sit up. "Get me out of here!" I yell, trying to push myself up. "I need a sedative in here!" The nurse yells as Jake and Adam try to calm me down. "Avery, you need to chill the fuck out. Your gonna get yourself hurt," Jake says as he try's to lay me down.

"Let me go! I want out of here!" I yell through my sobs as my body relaxes against his grasp. I feel a sting in my arm as my eyelids begin to close. "Please," I whisper, feeling one last tear leave my eye before everything is dark.
