Me and Adam can finally go home today. We've been in the hospital for a few weeks.

I'm still in a lot of pain from all the injuries I've sustained throughout the last few months, but I should be better in a few weeks. Hopefully.

Adam says he's having a friend pick us up since his car was totaled from the accident. He didn't tell me who his friend is, but told me not to worry. Me and Adam are waiting for his friend outside the entrance of the hospital.

The temperature has been dropping since we've been in the hospital, leaving goosebumps on my skin.

"That's our ride," Adam says as he helps me stand. I start to shiver from the cold wind prickling my skin once again.

We get in the car and I cuddle up to Adam. "This your girl man," the person says as he looks back at us. "Yea, I got lucky," he says as he kisses my head.

"Nice to meet you Avery, I've heard so much about you," he says as he turns up the heat. "I'm Jake," he says as he pulls off. "Nice to meet you too Jake," I say as feel my anxiety spike.

I start to get flashbacks from the accident after a few minutes in the car. "Stop the car," I say as I start to fumble with my seatbelt. "What? I can't just stop the car," Jake says as he looks toward me.

"Stop the fucking car!" I yell as my breathing starts to pick up. "Come on love, you need to calm down," Adam says as he unbuckles his seatbelt and scoots toward me.

"Stop this damn car," I breath as I feel my lungs tighten. "Stop the car Jake," Adam says as he sees the fear in my eyes. Jake pulls off to the side of the road as cars zoom passed us.

I stumble out of the car and fall to my knees. Adam is right behind me and leaning me against the car.

"What do you need love," he says as he looks into my eyes. "My... inhal... er," I choke out as start to see the edges of my vision blur.

Adam looks to his side and my eyes follow him. I see Jake standing there, looking lost. "Hey man, I need you to haul your ass to my house and get her inhaler. It's in the kitchen, I'm sure you can find it," he says as he grits his teeth.

He pulls me away from the car and lies me down on his lap. "Of course man," he says as he runs to his door and turns on the car, speeding off.

"Your gonna be alright sweetheart," he says as he holds my hand. "I'm...sorry," I pant out as my throat tightens. "It's ok sweetheart, don't talk," he says as he brushes my hair from my face.

My visions starts to blur as I gasp for air. "Where the hell is he," Adam seethes as he looks behind him.

I hear tires screech to a halt and a door slam open. "About damn time," Adam says as Jake throws him my inhaler. "Here love," Adam says as he sits me up.

I grasp his shirt as I inhale the fumes. My breath starts to even out, but is still coming out heavy. "Thank...you," I breath as I lay my forehead on Adams chest.

I feel Adam breathing slightly heavier. Adam picks me up as my breathing evens out, laying me in the car with me head in his lap once again.

I start to dose off in his lap as he hums in my ear. "I'm sorry I took so long man," I hear Jake say as I'm half asleep. "Don't sweat it. Not like you can control traffic," Adam chuckles as he runs his hand up my arm.

"Are you good to her," Jake says, causing Adam to shift from under me. "Of course I am," I hear him smile.

"Good. She needs someone like you," he says as Adam goes back to humming in my ear. I feel a smile on my face as I drift into sleep.
