You sighed in frustration at the mess your roommate, Taehyung, had left. If only you had known he was going to be so messy leaving his shirt hung over one of the chairs in the lounge, his empty bottles of juice tucked down the side of the couches.

You had enough in work today with your boss nagging you, and you certainly didn't need to come home to this. You grabbed the bottles he had left and headed to the kitchen to put them alongside the rest of the recycling you needed to put out when the recycling came. You put your phone down on the counter beside it.

On the fridge, amongst many certificates and little fridge magnets, there was a note.

'Can you cook dinner for us? I'm going to be late home again'

And that was the last straw for you. He had promised the past week to at least help cook dinner, or even bring takeaway home for you both, but had you gotten that from him? No.

Instead he spends his evenings out with other girls, maybe occasionally his male friends as well, and doesn't come home till midnight at least. You clenched your jaw, counting in your head to calm down and possibly not murder the boy.

Your chest rose and fell quick with the anger.

You tore the note from the fridge and found a pen, which wasn't hard since they were scattered all around the house from whenever Taehyung thought of something to show his Hyungs, or whenever you needed to note down anything the house needed.

'Order Takeaway when you get in. I won't be home till late.' You wrote down and stuck back on the fridge and walked out the house, just wanting to clear your head.

You hadn't been one to get all too angry, or at least not until Kim Taehyung came into your life. You had met him in school a few years back, and after a few months you saw yourself becoming increasingly involved in whatever he did, that was either emotionally or physically.

You slammed the door behind you and headed to the one place you knew would calm you down.

You sat on the bench looking over the small lake in the park. The wind had started to pick up causing you to shiver as you sat there. It was silent, except the water of the lake licking at the stones around the edges. You closed your eyes, enjoying the tranquillity for a while, until thunder rumbled across the sky.

--

"Y/N is that you?" You heard someone yell. You lifted your head, your arms wrapped tightly around you. In the distance you saw Taehyung running towards you. "Yah! Y/N are you crazy? You had me so worried." He pulled you up from the bench and wrapped his arms around you.

"T-Tae..." Your teeth chattered.

"You've been sat outside in the storm for god knows how long-" He pulled away and took off his jacket and draped it across your shoulders, his body heat lingering in it. "Let's get you home." He spoke quietly.

The walk home was silent, minus the storm in the background, his hand kept brushing against yours, making your heart skip a beat whenever it did.

You both reached the apartment and Taehyung went to the dryer and took out a pear of his sweats and a baggy shirt.

"Here... It's better than staying in your wet clothes." You took the clothes and headed to your room changing into the warm clothes.

When you brought the wet jacket and your work uniform downstairs to the dryer, he caught you and brought you into a hug.

"I'm so sorry-" He whispered quietly. "I'll start helping out more often, it isn't fair on you after you've been in work all day..."

You rested your head on his shoulder. In that moment knowing why you had been feeling that way towards Taehyung for a while.

"Thank you, Tae." Your voice barely above a whisper as you both stood in the dimly lit house.

You had a crush on Kim Taehyung.
