Jungkook // Hybrid

(Because I didn't post this last night! Hope you enjoy!)

Three a.m. was not the time you wanted to be woken up at the night before your exams.

Any other night and you might have tolerated it. But tonight of all nights? Fuck that.

You wrapped up in a thin blanket, the heating in your house low, but nowhere as warm as your bed just was.

You made your way to the front door, maybe it was your ex, lost and drunk again? You opened it and saw a male stood there shivering in just a beanie, white shirt, jeans and timberlands.

"Please... it's so cold." He whimpered. You looked around in the street briefly before stepping aside letting the male into your house. You shut the door and went to the thermostat at the end of the hallway, cranking up the heat so the stranger wasn't going to freeze.

He sighed in content when the first blast of warm air met his skin, you watched him up and down.

"Here take this." You unwrapped the blanket from your shoulders and wrapped it around him instead. "Would you like a drink?"

"Anything warm please- can I have hot chocolate?"

You nodded and left to the kitchen as he sat on the sofa. you came back with a mug of hot chocolate with some squirty cream and a marshmallow on top. He smiled softly.

"Why are you out so early in the morning barely wearing any warm clothes?" I asked. "You do realise it is winter, right?"

"Yes..." He mumbled softly. "I don't know, I just remember being lead to your house. I stood there for about an hour not wanting to knock- But then it got so cold." He looked down. You sighed softly.

"Where do you live?"

"I lived in a warehouse about six hours away." He spoke softly, sipping at the drink.

"A warehouse?" Your eyes widened. He nodded and you furrowed your brows and tilted your head to the side. He scrunched up his nose briefly, the action reminding you of a rabbit.

"Yes, I've never lived anywhere else."

"Why...?"

"I..." He looked down again.

"Sorry- I didn't mean to pry-" A yawn escaped your lips.

"It's fine. I'm a hybrid, not many people want me so I never got adopted."

"A hybrid?" Your eyes widened. He nodded. "Is that why you've got the hat on?" You were suddenly on your knees on the sofa, every ounce of tiredness leaving your body. He nodded shyly, his cheeks flaming up. "Can I?" You reached forwards for his hat, he gulped before nodding.

You couldn't help but notice him tense as your fingers brushed against his forehead as you gently pulled the beanie. His cheeks becoming redder and redder as you watched two ears poke out from his hair, much like a rabbits.

"Rabbit ears?" You asked softly, he nodded. He looked embarrassed. "They're adorable. Don't people really want rabbits?"

He shook his head putting the empty mug on the coffee table.

"Feel free to stay here with me." You noticed that he was still freezing, and from your limited knowledge on rabbits and humans, that wasn't good. You took his hand gently as you stood up.

"W-What are you doing?" His eyes widened.

"You're freezing, let's get you tucked up nice and warm in bed."

"Y-You're serious?" He stuttered. "You're going to let me stay?"

You nodded smiling. "Of cour-" You were cut off by being hugged and being jumped up and down.

"I-I... Sorry." He looked down. You giggled softly.

You heard your alarm blare from the beside table, you went to turn and slap it like you usually would but two firm and strong arms stopped you from moving.

"Just leave it..." He mumbled. "Five more minutes..." His eyes weren't even open. You looked up at the male, his ears twitching in his sleep as the alarm blared.

"I have exams today- I need to get up."

"If I let you go, do you promise me you won't leave me forever?" He mumbled softly, his eyes opening slowly and meeting yours. You nodded smiling.

"I promise..." You didn't even know his name.

"Jungkook." He smiled softly letting you go. You turned off the alarm and slid out of bed, tucking the rabbit back in. Before you could stop yourself your lips were against his forehead.

"I promise I won't leave you forever, Jungkook." A smile formed on his lips and he went back to snoring. Your heart swelled up and you couldn't help the smile on your lips. "Sleep well."

You rushed to get ready, already wishing for the school day to be over so you could get back to Jungkook, already infatuated with the boy.
