Twelve years later and Yeona had returned to her hometown. Something inside of her nagged her to come back home after moving twelve years ago. Her heart ached with leaving her parents behind, but they encouraged her to go.
"Daegu..." She whispered as she stepped into the bustling street. "Home sweet home." She grinned before heading down the streets towards her new apartment, pulling her two suitcases behind her. She had been up the week before with her brother to help the movers put furniture into the apartment and to make sure that it was safe and big enough for her.
She got to the apartment block and looked at the 'out of order sign' on the elevator. Her apartment was six floors up, and each floor had two flights of stairs-
"You look a bit lost." A deep voice startled her, causing her to jump. "Is there somebody you're looking for? Or are you new here?"
"Oh, I technically moved in a week ago, but I'm officially moving in today." She smiled, turning to face the stranger. Not an ounce of recognisation hinted on Yeona's face. But the strangers eyes widened with shock, but he didn't comment on what he had realized for the sake of her not seeming to remember.
He felt his heart ache slightly.
"How many floors up are you?" He smiled kindly before grabbing both her suitcases.

Yeona and the stranger, who she learnt to be a rather handsome man named Taehyung, grew to be close friends. On her way home from work, it started raining. Thankfully, she had remembered her umbrella and popped it up as she headed home to her apartment.
Taehyung was heading in the opposite direction, shivering in the cold rain. Yeona stopped when she saw to wet legs a couple of meters in front of her. She tilted the umbrella up a little more and looked up, seeing a soaked Taehyung stood there.
"Tae?" Her voice was quiet, yet filled with confusion. It was only this morning that he had commented that it was likely going to rain, and here he was - roaming the streets without a jacket or an umbrella.
He didn't reply to her and simply took slow, long strides towards her before stopping until he was only a couple of centimeters away from her. The rain had stuck his bangs to his forehead, masking his eyes from her.
"Taehyung... Are you ok-" She was cut off by being pulled into the wet and cold, yet strangely warm arms, of Taehyung. "Tae?"
"Why... Why can't you remember me?" His voice sounded broken. "Our childhood, our little games we used to play... Our movie nights... Why won't you remember it?"
"Tae, what are you on about?" Her voice was quiet, almost as if she was afraid that speaking any louder would upset the boy.
His arms fell from around her, and cupped her cheeks instead as he lent in slowly, giving her the option to pull away if she wanted to, before his lips connect with hers. She stood shocked for a moment before her eyes fluttered closed, and the umbrella dropped from her hand as she wrapped her arms lazily around his neck. Her lips moved smoothly against his, but before the kiss could get any deeper, Taehyung pulled away.
"I love you Yeona..." He whispered quietly.
"I love you too TaeTae." She whispered just as quiet, leaning up and pecking his lips one last time. But Taehyung couldn't have been any happier, after all 'TaeTae' was the name she used to call him as a child.
