Taehyung somewhat forgot about you after the initial shock of the announcement. When he had attended the class he shared with you, he had looked across at your empty seat. 'Maybe she is ill' he had thought originally. Then the next day came, and your seat remained empty.
"Class tomorrow we will have a new student joining us." Taehyung looked up from his notebook, a mild look of confusion. He didn't know how another student would fit into this class. After all, all of the seats were occupied. His eyes glanced across to where you would usually be sat. That's when it had dawned on him, you had left and unintentionally made room for a new student.
Taehyung had blamed himself for pushing you away when he had realised his crush on you. He shouldn't have pushed you away, he might have at least had a chance of keeping contact with you when you had left. After the first week of the new student being there, he stopped glancing at your seat, he stopped hoping that you would walk through that classroom door... He then stopped crushing on you, after all you weren't there to crush on and he had no way to even contact you.
He began hanging out with his friends again, avoiding the library where you two used to study and lord-forbid if he had to go in there, he avoided the table you two had always occupied. The way he delt with this made it seem as if he was going through the worlds worst break up. But he wasn't. It wasn't intentional that he stopped waiting for you, that his friends had become his main priority. You just weren't there anymore.
Forgotten.
Taehyung ran a hand through his hair as he sat in the cafeteria. "Apparently we have a student coming today." Jungkook had spoke softly.
"Halfway through the semester?" Taehyung asked. Jungkook nodded. "I heard from Namjoon, he's on the welcoming commitee. Apparently they're an ex-student so unfortunately he doesn't get out of his afternoon classes."
"Because he is well and truly upset about that." Jimin laughed. "We all know that Namjoon would take those classes twenty four hours a day if he could. Just so he could stare and oogle at his classmate."
"He's as bad as you were Taehyung when Y/N was here."
Y/N... Hearing your name was like a breath of cold crisp air had entered his lungs and filled his body. Like the final jigsaw piece slid into the space in the puzzle.
"Y/N!" A voice cried through the cafeteria and Taehyung immediately perked up. Jimin sniggered at his reaction. Taehyung watched as your best friend sprinted, ignoring the yells of the dinner ladies, towards the entrance of the cafeteria where you were stood. His eyes were wide and his plastic fork clattered against the dinner tray. You had changed, you had became fuller in once sense, and that was obvious by how the blazer hugged your body shape. Your complexion had become clearer, your hair was styled. He had to do a double-take to ensure that it was you and it wasn't just someone with the same name.
Jimin smirked. "You're just mean for not telling him that it was her."
"I didn't think he even remembered her."
Taehyung felt his heart race in his chest. His eyes widened, maybe that crush hadn't died afterall.
