You hummed gently, you had been working here for a few months now. Slowly getting close with each member and their backup dancers. Your eyes fluttered closed as you sat on the floor, humming quietly to yourself as you sipped at your water.
Everything was going quite well, but you weren't sure if the Taehyung here was the same Taehyung you remembered. He looked fairly familiar, and acted the same- It could very well be him.
You sighed opening your eyes as the door to your side opened, you looked over and saw Taehyung dropping his bag on the floor.
"I'm the first one here?" He asked. You looked over.
"Apart from me, yeah." You pushed yourself up from the floor, stretching out. You looked at the clock on the wall. "They probably won't be here for another half an hour, neither will anybody else. Is there anything you want to go over?"
"Why are you here so early?" He ran a hand through his hair, his mask covering his lower face. You looked over him and took a deep breath.
Why did these boys have to be so damn handsome?
"I was just going through some of my own stuff." You shrugged, he raised an eyebrow.
"You choreograph your own stuff?" A thought came through your head and you smiled.
"I made it up with an old friend." You had made it up with one of his friends back in high school, and you knew for a fact that when you performed it at the school talent show, Taehyung had seen it.
This could potentially determine if this was the Taehyung you knew from high school.
You didn't bother to plug your phone into the speakers and you simply played the song from your phone. You slowly started dancing, it was a contemporary song - A type of dance you rarely practiced unless needed - so the movements felt like liquid as you danced.
Your eyes were closed as you memorised the movements, muscle memory kicking in. Your breath caught in your throat as you felt two arms hold you as you danced. Letting go at the perfect time. Your eyes opened and you saw Taehyung, looking down so his hair covered his eyes as he danced with you.
It wasn't as smooth as his friends movements, but it was there.
That was Taehyung. You froze on the spot, your cheeks bright red.
"When he taught me this dance." Taehyung started. "He had initially decided he'd drop out last minute and make me dance it with you." He continued the dance, taking hold of you and making you dance with him until the movements came back. "I had such a big crush on you back then. He had planned it out so I'd be able to get closer to you."
"O-Oh." You barely got out.
"But then I didn't want to, I didn't want to change what you had worked so hard for, so I sat and watched." His voice was soft. "I wanted to talk to you, but you'd walk past me with your head down and ignored me. I-" He cut himself off, you could see in the reflection his face thinking of the words to say.
You took over the dance, guiding him now.
"I didn't intentionally ignore you." You had found your voice once more. "I-" You took a deep breath. "I had a crush on you too."
"Wait really?" His eyes widened. Both of you froze, faces incredibly near to each others. His hands on your waist.
You nodded slowly.
"Wait you said 'had'..." He frowned slightly.
"I-" You stuttered, unable to form a sentence. Your heart beating rapidly in your chest. He forced a smile onto his lips.
"It's okay." He smiled softly. "I should sit back down, and let you practice." He let go of your waist and turned to sit down.
You reached out grabbing his wrist, stopping him from moving any further. He turned to you, his eyes holding sadness.
Did he still have a crush on you?
"I lost my crush after we graduated." Your voice was shaky. "But I've grown to know you again-" You couldn't continue, your heart was racing.
"What are you saying?" He had a light blush dusted across his cheeks. You cupped his cheeks and gently, and quickly pecked his lips. You pulled away almost as you had kissed him, letting your hands fall to your sides as you looked down.
You had messed up- he didn't even like you-
Your head was lifted gently and lips were against yours, your heart was racing once more. Your lips moved in sync with his.
"You've been in my head since, filling it with what ifs. I never stopped liking you." He mumbled softly as he pulled away, resting his forehead against yours. He looked down at your lips and you kissed him again softly, enjoying the feeling. That was until the door burst open.
"Y/N!" Hoseok yelled and then stopped. You both pulled away blushing brightly. Six boys stood at the entrance of the practice room with wide eyes.
Jimin stood there smirking towards Taehyung.
"So she is the girl you told me about from school!" Jimin chuckled. You both blushed laughing.
"Let's get going." You stepped away from Taehyung. "We've got a lot to go through."
