You looked at the photo of all your older brothers on your phone, forcing a small smile onto your lips. Ever since the boys had become famous, you and Taejoon had to loose contact with them or rather you and Taejoon had to be kept secret from the world. You and Taejoon were both talented enough to get you both a few small gigs here and there, mainly in cafe's and such where it was mainly acoustic songs needed.
"Yoonji. We're on in a second." Taejoon called to you and you looked up and flashed him a smile and he grabbed his bass guitar and you grabbed the acoustic before walking onto the stage and plugging in and setting the microphones to your heights before sitting on the stools. Once the lights dimmed every body turned around and looked towards the stage. The lights focused on you both as you started strumming the guitar.
You had decided on this song to sing as you both were starting to miss your elder brothers. You hadn't spoke to them in months, possibly since the start of their tour and now it was nearing their comeback in a few days-
Your voices rang clear, full of emotion. Both of you playing the accompanying instruments perfectly. You felt genuine tears brim your eyes as you played, memories of your childhood running through your head. Once the song had finished everybody around applauded.
You set the guitar down and rushed off stage and into the girls bathroom.
You furiously wiped away the tears as you stared into the mirror.
"You shouldn't let them get you down." You scolded yourself. "They knew that once they got famous they would have to leave you and Taejoon behind-"
You stood straight and rummaged through your bag pulling out makeup to fix your tear stained face.
"They chose the fame, not family." You mumbled patting powder onto your face. You took a deep breath and composed yourself.
"Your brother sent me in here to check on you, are you okay?" A woman neared you. You looked away from your reflection and stashed the makeup back in your bag. You nodded and forced a smile back onto your lips.
"I'm fine." You studied her face, a habit of yours. She reminded you of someone... specifically two people.
"Are you sure?" She offered a kind smile. Your heart dropped.
You could recognise that smile from anywhere.
Jung Hoseok's sister.
