You and Seokjin were always labeled 'the power couple' of the idol world - and this was before you had even debuted.
The backstory of Jin and yourself was as follows, your mother was best friends with his from a young age, but they moved after high school.
Once they reconnected they had children, a few years age difference between the two. One boy, Seokjin. One girl, you.
So you two were forced to be friends at first, but once you two got over the age gap and the fact you both had different interests, you two became inseparable.
This continued through his debut where you would send money in a card from your hometown every month, wishing him good luck and good health. Just to have a small parcel of a box of chocolates or a teddy sent back a few weeks later and most likely out of the money you had sent him.
Then he debuted, and you went into training with YG.
Through training, and at late night, he'd visit to make sure you weren't being treated so badly. He'd bring food for you when you had told him you were being forced to diet again and you two grew closer until he finally asked you out as soon the butterflies and the heart skipping became unbearable to continue as friends.
And now it was your debut. You and Seokjin had been dating for near four years now. Privately at first, until both YG and Bighit agreed that it would be good for both of you to become public.
The stress made your eyes water slightly as you slumped in front of the mirror in the practice room.
You had your debut stage in a day and you couldn't seem to manage to dance one move in the entire of the choreography.
You looked over at your phone, desperate for a call or a text off your boyfriend who hadn't spoken to you in a week.
That's when you took a shaky breath.
—
Three weeks after that, and two weeks into being dragged to interviews and shows left right and centre and you and Seokjin had been single for three weeks.
You watched the most recent stage of Seokjin's as you lounged in bed in the dorms. Headphones in as you noticed his down demeanour. You felt your eyes water and your heart ache.
You were renowned within your family and his for running away from your problems, sometimes even physically.
This was another one of these times.
'Y/N! It's Jungkook, I was wondering if we could catch up when you get a breather? I know how busy debut is so don't worry if it's not for a while-' You smiled, Jungkook you had met before BTS's debut, along with the rest of the boys.
'I'm free tomorrow Kook. Meet me at the little cafe?'
'Of course! See you at three PM!'
—
You walked in and sat down at the table quietly, ordering yourself a cappuccino. Sipping it as you waited for the appearance of Jungkook.
You sighed checking your phone occasionally before determining he wasn't coming. You stood up and pulled your jacket around you before a voice made you freeze.
"Y/N?" Seokjin asked quietly. Your heart fluttered again and you swallowed the lump in your throat. You turned to face him slowly.
"Why are you here?" You whispered quietly.
"To fix things between us." He sat down and gestured for you to sit.
You hesitated for a second before sitting in the chair.
You wouldn't run away from this, you couldn't run away from this. Not when the only man that made you feel so special was sat in front of you.
"Just promise me, no more running."
You nodded slightly. "No more running."
