"He's the one that destroyed it!" The tigress Namjoon's owner also owned blamed him. The vase, the one that was worth at least one thousand and had just been pushed off by her, laid broken on the floor. The owner turned away from her, her gaze darkened as she glared at Namjoon.
"But I didn't-" he got cut off by his mistress grabbing his wrist and dragging him to the garage and forcing him in the car. When she got in, she sighed softly.
"You're costing me more money than you're worth." She ran a hand through her hair. "Which is a shame because you're nice. You're good looking and having both you and the tigress makes me look richer. But you're costing me more money the more you're damaging things."
She started the engine and drove. Namjoon looked at his lap when they pulled up at the pound.
"Trust me, I wouldn't do this if I didn't have to." She sighed quietly. Going around to the passenger side of the car and opening the door for him. He got out, ears flat against his head and his tail between his legs.
Once they went through the entire process of putting him back in the pound, he reached up and took his collar off and held it out with trembling hands towards the woman who used to be his mistress.
She took it, and turned. Not once looking back as the employees took him to a room, or rather a cell.
He lent against the wall for the most part of the day, pausing when he heard voices as he was about to stand up.
Later that night, he sensed someone sat the other side of the paper thin wall and then he heard a voice. "Hello."
"Hi." He spoke back, and Namjoon was surprised when he heard the voice reply to him.
After a while Namjoon and the man on the other side of the wall became friends. He had learnt that the man was named Seokjin and was a Golden Tiger. But he had also learnt about the loneliness Jin didn't tell him about. He learnt through the soft whimpers and cries come midnight.
Once the cries had completely broken him, he began working on an escape plan. Not for him, but for the broken hearted Golden Tiger next door.
When the chance came, he escaped. The pound sending some employees after him. He ran in a way he hadn't ran before, letting his instincts take over.
He got cornered into an alleyway, and he couldn't help but feel the smile tugging at his lips.
I hope you got out safe Seokjin. He closed his eyes, ready to accept his fate as going back to the pound. I hope you find your forever family.
