A one shot for SammyTenjo I hope you enjoy!

Jimin had just finished his daily phone call with Y/N as you worked on your business trip overseas. No matter what you had made time for one another to call, and more often than not his phone call would be at 10pm every night, which meant it was around 9am when you received the call.

But it also meant that your daughter was asleep, however you did make the effort to call her around 2am where you were so it was 3PM back at home with her.

You had warned Jimin that the child had been feeling low lately, and said she had abdominal pains and you made sure he went out and bought sanitary products for her, just in case it was what you suspected.

Jimin was still clueless, he had been with you for years and he still didn't quite understand the whole menstrual cycle yet, all he knew was you liked having a hot water bottle constantly, you cried occasionally and it involved spending money on those sanitary products. Did he know how to use them? No.

He ran a hand through his hair, turning the TV down as it reached half ten and he got comfy on the couch as he watched whatever show was on. He was dozing off to sleep when he heard gentle footsteps come into the living room.

"Dad?" He opened his eyes and saw a clearly upset Minji stood next to him. He had never been very close with his twelve year old, it was hard to be when he was still out touring with the rest of the boys and on top of that he was now helping host some variety shows. He was barely around during her younger years, and it was quite clear she preferred your company doing things to his.

"What's wrong?" He asked, sitting up and the girl bit his lip as she furrowed her brows.

"I... I got my period..." Her voice was incredibly quiet as if she was ashamed of the fact and Jimin internally groaned.

This couldn't have happened when Y/N was home, could it? He thought to himself. Jimin nodded slightly at her words.

"Well have you put one of those pads mum made me buy?" He asked softly, she shook her head. "Well let's go do that. Do you know how to?" She shook her head again.

"No..." She whispered quietly. Jimin stood up.

"Well we can figure it out together, it can't be that hard right?"

Jimin was wrong, as a man who never had to fo this in his entire existence, he couldn't understand why the sticky nappy-like thing would prefer to stick to his fingers than to a pair of clean underwear. At least his struggle caused a small smile to appear on Minji's face.

Once they had finally figured out where it stuck and got it to stuck Jimin left her to it, and went back downstairs. "They make them so sticky to skin, but not to where they're meant to be." He huffed as he sank down into the sofa again. He thought that would be it, that now she was protected she wouldn't need anymore assistance.

He heard footsteps again and he looked over, Minji hidden behind her bed sheets.

"What-"

"They're stained..." she whispered ashamedly and continued walking to the laundry room. Jimin sighed, seeing her change in mood to what it was a few days ago. He went upstairs as she put on the washing machine, and he got a bunch of pillows and blankets and brought them downstairs.

"Well since you've got no bed sheets, how about we build a fort?" He asked when he got back downstairs and Minji pulled a face. "We can put whatever you want onto the TV, and I'll see if your favourite dessert place is still open?"

Dessert sounded good right now. Minji thought to herself, her stomach somewhat growling. She nodded and they began to build the fort. Once it was done and she had chosen what dessert she had wanted, Jimin went to the kitchen to order it on the phone.

She curled up beneath one of the two blankets in the fort that nearly took up the entire living room, and she cried. Her entire body ached, she felt incredibly bloated, and she just felt like she needed to cry. Jimin entered the tent and she tried to wipe away her tears before he realised.

"Minji, what's wrong?" He asked quietly as he crawled in to get to her.

"N-Nothing." She lied, sniffling. Jimin raised a brow and opened his arms up to his daughter and he saw the hesitation before she moved over, taking her blankets with her and hugging him tightly.

His heart broke when sobs shook her body, and he gently rubbed her back. They might not have been close, but he was still her dad and she was still his daughter. He loved her with his whole heart. "I miss mum, and I just feel terrible." She whispered quietly. Jimin nodded and hugged her a little tighter.

"I miss your mum too, but she'll be home in a few days time." He tried to be positive but the way her cries brought down his heart and teared it to shreds made it impossible.

"That and my stomach really hurts." She added on.

"Would you like me to make a hot water bottle up for you?" He asked and she nodded, letting him go. He came back and handed it to her, and then the doorbell rang, so he went to answer that.

He took the desserts in and crawled into the tent with the milkshakes, waffles, pancakes and cookie dough and the miniature tubs of ice cream to go with. "What do you want to watch?"

"Anything studio ghibli." She already started sipping at the milkshake. He nodded and pulled up Spirited Away.

Jimin was exhausted by the second film, his stomach full of sugar and he knew he would be feeling nauseous very soon. But he looked down at Minji, who was fast asleep on her makeshift bed, cradling the hot water bottle to her stomach.

Jimin smiled softly, feeling a lot closer with her just from this. He yawned softly, laying down and falling asleep himself, but not before hearing a 'I love you dad' from Minji, causing a huge smile to land on his face.
