Taehyung and Lana were dancing among the crowd of people at the nightclub they had been dragged to with a few old college friends as a small 'reunion' despite Lana and Taehyung still being best friends since the day they first met.
Lana's head fell onto Taehyung's shoulder, her heart racing. It had been four years since their first meeting together when they bumped into each other on the college campus, and to make sure Lana hadn't fell into the shallow lake where they had quite literally collided with each other, he pushed her onto a grass verge and fell in himself.
Thankfully, on Lana's behalf, Taehyung wasn't carrying any work or binders and had simply been heading to the campus' McDonalds. He sat in the water, meeting eyes with Lana who had a worried look on her face for the unknown boy before he started laughing and climbing out the lake.
She then bought him McDonalds as an apology, despite him being more concerned about the red bump on her leg from when he had pushed her.
Taeyhyung grinned. "Have you finally decided that you have drank too much?" He sniggered softly, looking down at her. She shook her head.
"No, I just wanted to feel your entire body against me." She spoke loud enough for him to hear over the music, yet quiet enough so only he could hear her. That's when Taehyung realized the close proximity of their bodies and how he could feel her entire body against his, from the lace on her sleeves, to the firmer material of her jeans. He gently distanced himself, simply knowing she was drunk.
"Maybe another time, just not right now. Okay Lana?" He asked softly, and she pouted as she looked up at him. The strobe lights catching her eyes and causing them to sparkle with both childlike innocence and adult mischief.
"So what you're saying is you wouldn't want to take me to a dark corner, or into the bathrooms where nobody could see us?" She asked innocently. He gulped.
"Lana, you're drunk. Please stop." He spoke firmly, his hands now off her hips and on her arms. This caused her to pout further. She broke away, heading to the bar for another drink and Taehyung sighed, watching her as he ran a hand through his hair.
He had feelings for her, and he understood that drunken words can sometimes be sober thoughts, but he wasn't completely sure that was the case with Lana. From what he could remember she hadn't ever shown an ounce of interest in him and now suddenly she was attempting dirty talk with him?
He shook his head, ridding her recent words and the thoughts that tried consuming him. That's when he heard ripples of gasps come from people around the dance floor. He looked up and slowly followed the gazes of the other people and saw you on the table. Glass of your drink in hand, and looking directly at him with a piercing gaze.
"Taehyungie~" She had coo'd causing Taehyung to gulp as he slowly made his way through the crowd, his main aim to stop people from looking at her and getting her down as safe as he could. "We've known eachother for four years now..." She held up four fingers as she stood there, the music seemed to have quietened to him now. However, he hoped and prayed that it hadn't and people couldn't legitimately hear her. Especially if they were as drunk as she was currently. "I thought I was making my feelings for you obvious, but you never took the bait, you never noticed." She whined.
Taehyung got to the front of the crowd, her once warm brown eyes were now cold and hurt.
"I've done nothing but show you how a girl should treat a man like you since April four years ago... near seven months since we first met." She frowned. "But you always dated these other girls and it honestly seemed like you were rubbing it in..."
Taehyung sighed, watching as their old college friends watched with amusement in their eyes and it wasn't that they were terrible people who only wanted to see their friends embarrass themselves in front of what could be over one hundred people in the club. They just knew that she had finally gotten the courage to say something, even if it did take near ten drinks and it was on a table in the night club.
"Lana, please get down off the table so you don't injure yourself..." Taehyung spoke caringly, meeting her eyes and holding the cold glare.
"No! Why should I? I can't hurt myself anymore than you just ignoring my feelings for you hurt me!" She pouted.
"Because, I'd rather discuss this in private. C'mon." He held out her hand for her, the chair positioned in front of the both of them which was most likely the chair she had used to get up.
She hesitated, before taking his hand and using his offer to help her down. She knocked back her drink, wincing at the bitterness before looking up at him.
"Let's get home and we can discuss further there, yeah?"
So when they arrived at Taehyung's apartment, she made a beeline for his room. It wasn't for anything sexual, but the alcohol had kicked in and made her drowzy and the heels on her feet were starting to hurt a lot more than she anticipated them to.
Taehyung followed her, gulping softly when he entered the room to see her already changing into his clothes, her back towards him. She laid down in bed having, thankfully, not wore any makeup so she could go to sleep relatively easy.
Taehyung changed into his PJ's before climbing into bed next to her. A usual occurrence would be cuddles whilst they slept as neither could sleep without them. So she snuggled into his chest before almost instantly falling asleep. Forgetting about Taehyung's offer of talking about this when they got home.
Taehyung rubbed her back softly, thanking the fact he never drank that night. His own eyes shut, presuming she was asleep before he heard a soft 'I love you' that sounded completely sober and his heart skipped a beat. A grin on his face as her soft snores filled the room, and his did not long after.
