Taehyung walked through the airport a few months later, coming back home to spend time with his family. After he saw you and your date that time in the restaurant, he hadn't seen you again and funnily enough his heart didn't hurt as much anymore knowing you were happy with the new man in your life. God, it hurt knowing he wasn't the one making you happy, but it made him somewhat happy at the idea of you being able to find happiness in someone else.
"Kim Taehyung..." The man at the desk, checking his identity muttered, looking between the passport in his hand and himself. He nodded and handed back the passport to him, Taehyung letting out a soft sigh of relief when he slipped the mask back on over his face.
"Right, Taehyung we have to get two cars today because of the amount of luggage we have." His manager spoke. "So you get in that car," he pointed. "And the rest of the boys will get in this car."
Taehyung nodded and carried his shoulder bag over to the car. He opened the passenger side door and sank down into the seat, shutting the door before fans gathered. "So how was the last leg of the tour?" You asked softly, indicating and pulling out of the parking space.
Taehyung turned with wide eyes. "Y-You're not our staff-"
"The boys set it up. Don't panic." Taehyung wasn't panicking in the sense of being kidnapped, he was panicking more because he still wasn't over you yet. "If you want I can pull over and you can get out? I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
"No... it's fine." He sunk further into his seat, hugging his bag close to his chest as the smell of the air freshener and your perfume reminded him of the times he once had with you.
"How was the last leg of your tour anyway?" You asked again, turning the radio down.
"It was fun, the atmosphere was amazing." The volume of his deep voice matched your own and this time you weren't sure whether it was in an attempt to mock you or whether he was as nervous as you were. "How's things with..."
"Sooyoung?" You finished for him. "I ended that a while back..." the moment I saw you in the restaurant actually. You thought to yourself.
"Ah... was he upsetting you?" Taehyung sounded awkward.
"Oh no, nothing like that." Your fingers drummed against the steering wheel anxiously as you stopped at a red light. "I just realised I was meant to spend my life with someone else. But I don't know if they feel the same way about me anymore."
"Oh... If he ever felt that way about you, I'm sure he still will now." He looked out the window at the other cars. "You're a special and unique lady, no man could ever get over you."
"You think so?"
"I know so." Taehyung turned to face you, eyes holding so much emotion behind them.
"Is that your way of saying you still love me?"
"Maybe." He hummed.
"What if I felt the same way?" You challenged, his eyes widening and a smile breaking out across his face.
