The Truth Hurts (Camren)

Now Or Never

It was as if time stood still. Both woman had no idea what to say their daughter had just caught them kissing and all that sank in was panic. What in the world were they going to tell her. They knew that what ever they told her she wouldn't understand since she is young but how exactly do you tell a 5 year old about a same sex relationship.

"Karla!!!! Hey mini Lauren where are.... you" Sofi says finding the little girl and then seeing her older sister and Lauren with wide eyes making the younger Cabello realize that this might not be good.

"Sofi mommy was kissing mila" The little girl says making Sofi panic inside

"Um what nah you must be seeing things. Come on Karla lets go back to the pool so I can teach you that cool trick". The teenager says trying to get out of there before Camila kills her for not keeping an eye on the little girl like she was told.

"But mommy hasn't answered my question yet" The little girl says looking at her mother who was still in a bit of shock

"Um little K how about we go play in the pool and let your mom and Camila talk okay then you can ask her all the questions you want okay?" Sofi tries again already having a feeling that right now Lauren was not up for answering any questions for the little girl.

"But I want my answer" The little girl pouts

"How about we go get an ice cream and by the time we get back your mom will have an answer okay come on" Sofi states and picks up the 5 year old to head out the door leaving Camila and Lauren alone again

It took about another 3 minutes before any of them moved from their stance and when they finally did the just looked at each other with nervous eyes.

"Wha-what just happened?" The younger of the two asks

"Karla just saw us kiss, and - and I just I mean what are we going to do?" The older one states starting to freak out

"Whoa okay, first breathe. We can fix this." The younger one replies when she notices that the green eyed woman is about to go into panic mode

"Fix this how our daughter just saw us kiss. To her I am suppose to be marrying Alex. What the hell am I going to tell her" The older one states in a louder tone.

"Then we tell her the truth okay. You aren't getting married to Alex, and we sit her down and tell her the truth about who I really am. You've seen it already she loves me Laur. I know her catching us kissing isn't ideal but how long did you think we were going to be able to hide around from her? The kid is too curious to not end up finding out about us on her own." The younger woman responds

"I can't do that Camila" Lauren responds

"Why not? What are you so afraid of?" Camila questions

"I just can't okay" The green eyed woman replies

"Lauren she's 5 if you think that not telling her now will save you the heartache of her hating you she won't. If you wait till later believe me it will be worse. She's still young right now but if you wait till she's older we both know that she will be very upset with both of us for not telling her sooner. Remember she's your daughter by blood and from the short times I've been with her she is exactly like you. I know how you get when you aren't told things from the start. If we wait on telling her who I am trust me we will both be losing" The brown eyed woman says making the older one look at her with tear filled eyes.

"Do you honestly believe telling a 5 year old that her father is a good for nothing rapist who tried to kill me once and then tried to kill you because I loved you is a good thing to tell her? That is insane Camila" Lauren states
