Special ch. 5: When she found Him

"One, two, three... Happy birthday, Neah!"

"Mama! Papa!" I hugged them both.

"Good morning baby."

"Good morning din po."

"Happy birthday, baby," papa said then handed me a blue box.

"Thank you, papa."

"Open it." I nodded and teared the wrapper off.

I opened the box and saw a beautiful necklace inside.

"Wow! Thank you, papa. Thank you, mama!"

"Isuot natin, baby." Then papa put the necklace on my neck.

I stared at it.

"JASZ. Mama, what does JASZ means?" I asked.

"J, means Jasher. A, means Arinne. S, is you, Sheneah," mama answered.

"Ano po yung meaning ng Z?"

Mama smiled at me then held my hands.

"Baby Neah. Magiging ate ka na."

"Ate? Mama, you're pregnant?!" Mama nodded so jumped off my bed.

"Yehey! Magiging ate na 'ko! Mama,is it a baby boy or a girl?" I excitedly asked and touched mama's tummy.

"Hindi pa namin, alam baby. Pero okay lang naman sa 'yo kung boy siya or girl, right?" Papa asked and I nodded.

"Syempre naman po. Hi, baby Z. Ako si ate Neah." I hugged mama's tummy.

"Halika na, baby. Kain ka na," mama said so I pouted.

"Mama, hindi po ako baby. Ate na po ako."

"Ay. Oo nga pala. Pero kahit na. Baby pa rin kita."

"Mama naman, e. Call me ate Neah," I insisted.

"Sige na. Ate Neah. Halika na."

We headed downstairs and ate our breakfast.

After doing our daily routine, we left the house.

"Ate Harah, alam mo ba?" I moved closer and whispered.

"Magiging ate na 'ko."

"Talaga? Tita Arinne is pregnant?" she answered in a soft voice.

I nodded and and took my necklace.

"Tingnan mo 'to. Papa gave this. JASZ. Jasher, Arinne, me and z is for baby z!"

"Ang galing naman."

"Nga pala. Uuwi ba si Tita Isabelle? Pupunta ba siya sa birthday ko?"

I miss tita Isabelle. She's tito Sunshine's older sister and I really like her. She always make me cookies everytime she visits here.

"Sabi ni papa. Uuwi daw siya."

"Yey! Makakakain ulit tayo ng cookies ni tita." And ate Harah nodded.

"Yo, Neah. Hi, Harah!" Karnam entered the classroom.

"KD!" We made a fistbump.

"KD. Nagpaalam na ako kay papa. Sabi niya pwede tayo mag-bike mamaya."

"Cool! I'm definitely bringing my bike later."

"Oo nga pala. Magiging ate na 'ko."

"Why? Is Tita Arinne pregnant?"

"Yes!"

"Woah. Cool."

After some minutes, Lorriene and Grayson entered the classroom.
