Drew's POV ( Holy crap!)
"I told you to stay away from Mason!" I trudged over to Karma who was looking through some more files. Working for two of the most powerful and worshipped goddesses isn't all sunshine and diamonds.
"It's not my fault you sucked at giving directions." Karma turned around and looked at me carefully. It's been years since I've seen her skin.
"How much more simpler can I get? Stay. Away." I spelled each word out slowly.
"You never told me who he was and I never thought anything of it." She defended. She huffed and tossed a box full of files aside.
I walked over to her and rubbed her shoulders, but she pulled away. "Don't."
I sighed. "I haven't seen you in years and this is how you treat me? I love you, Karma."
"Yeah, well you have a funny way of showing it. First you rape me and then you leave me to abandon Kade without any biological parents." She stood up from her office chair and stepped on the escalator. The escalator led to the Cupids and everyone else involved with love.
Aphrodite stared at us from afar. "Katy, Drew." She strolled over to both of us in her bronze high heels. "It's so nice to see you together at last! You two always did have the most entertaining relationship." She flashed us a smile, showing straight, pearly white teeth.
"Entertaining?" Karma furrowed her eyebrows and scrunched her nose, cutely.
"Of course! The forbidden romance, oh I just adore a good recreation of Romeo and Juliet." She straightened her posture while searching our faces. "Do tell me, are you finally able to have free love?"
"Oh, we're not-"
"Not serious, yet." I cut Karma off. She widened her eyes and began to protest, but I silenced her again. "Soon though."
Aphrodite's smile grew and she chirped. "Delightful! You two will be the talk of the gates. Sorry I can't stay and chat, I have a divorce issue I must attend to. Ta Ta!" She clicked her heels, walking away.
"We are not a couple, may I remind you, and we never will be, got it?" Karma didn't wait for my response and just walked away.
