Karma's POV

Kade was so excited today when she got back from school. She went on and on about how she made an "invisible" friend named Lux. She asked me if she and Lux could have a tea party and of course I agreed. I think it's sweet that Kade has an imaginary friend. I had one as a kid named Annabelle. We would "play jump rope", meaning I would tie one end of the rope to a tree on my front yard and swing the rope as if she's jumping. I would dress up in painful rubber heels and itchy princess dresses. I would dump sugar in water and pour it in a plastic tea cup.

Ah, childhood.

Kade has been stuck in her room all day, preparing for her tea party.

*DING DONG*

I put my washcloth down from drying my hands just as the doorbell went off. I assumed it was the boys coming back from wherever guys go: football fields, auto malls, drug stores, strip clubs... haha not! They better not be at a strip club.

I twisted the knob, opened the door, and saw nothing. Nothing but the greens by our driveway.

"Hello, miss!"

"AHHH!" My heart would have skipped a beat if it actually still did beat. A tiny blonde girl smiled, showing tiny perfect rows of teeth. She parted her hair in two fishtail braided pigtails, wore a white purple polka dotted dress, and tucked a stuffed pink pig under one arm and held a plush pink purse in the other.

"I'm Lux!" She twirled her dress side to side like they did in those weight loss yogurt commercials when the kid tries to sell doughnuts, but then the lady is like "Ha! Not today fat and calories!" Yep food commercials. Almost as good as Old Spice.

"Oh! You're Lux..." Lux is real.

"Luxxy! The tea is almost ready. Mr. Bacon Bits! He can sit by Mr. Chompers the carrot!" Kade ran besides me and attempted at dragging her through the house except there's a catch.

Stereotypes.

Most stereotypes about vampires are fake like the burned by the sun, killed by werewolf bites, and sparkling in the sun like Edward Flipping Cullins. This isn't freaking Twilight! Well, needing to be invited in is true. Outsiders who have never been inside a home before, must be invited in, so now she can come in freely as she pleases once she's invited.

Lux looked like a mime, pressing her fingers against the invisible force.

"Lux, why don't you come inside?" Her fingers reached through the threshold once the force had vanished.

I watched their retreating figures as they giggled and skipped towards Kade's room.

Kade's POV

"Bleh, I'm stuffed Kadey." Lux rubbed her Jello-full stomach, while lying back in the bean bag chair.

We've been smothered in rainbow Jello and brainwashed by The Little Mermaid. We've spent more time doing nothing than actually drinking tea.

"But we still need to drink tea and eat Oreos!" I whined. She dramatically reached for a cookie before "dropping dead" in her chair.

"Congrats. You've died of obesity." I hid a laugh as she scoffed, sitting up.

"What else is there to do?" She looked around the four corners of my room.

"We could paint." I suggested. Lux found the tubs of paint and brushes in my storage box. I grabbed to large sheets of paper. "What are you going to paint?"

"My family. How about you?" Lux dipped her paint brush in the peach colored paint, and began making circles, faces.

"I'll paint my family too." I first painted me, then my mum, and Louis holding carrots, Harry with white angel wings, Niall eating Nando's, Liam holding forks, and Tommy, Jackson, Damon, Sebastian, and Brett as wolves. I added a full moon for effect.

"Boom! Mines beautiful." I held mine up to show Lux.

"Yours might be beautiful, but mine is SUPERSPARKLINGAMAZING!" She abruptly bombed her picture with glitter. I went into a coughing fit.

"I think I have permanently glitterfied lungs now." I looked at her portrait. I saw her, what I assumed was her mum, her dad, and a boy. "Who's that?"

"Oh, well this is my mum. She's a make up artist for a boyband, One Direction-"

"One Direction? My dad is in that band." I started laughing. "Your mum works for my dad."

"Oh right! Which one is your dad?"

"Louis." Her mouth slowly twitched into a smile.

"She told me so many funny stories about him. One time he stole her makeup, and did a show wearing lipstick on his eyebrows." I couldn't help but start laughing at how stupid Louis gets.

"And this is my dad, he's a police man. And my brother." She pointed to the boy with short blonde hair and brown eyes.

"What's his name?" I asked.

"Mason."
