-Kara's POV-

As we walked through the different bedrooms, slowly observing the kids as they play or read a book, I couldn't help but relate to them. Just like them, my parents died and I was sent somewhere I didn't know, but I was lucky because I have the Danvers.

As we pass face after face, I don't feel a connection to any. It isn't till we enter the last bedroom that someone finally clicks and I think Mon-el feels the same.

As we entered the room, roughly 10 kids were running riot, throwing paper and screaming except for one. She wasn't running, she wasn't screaming, she was sitting in the corner of the room hugging a pink bear that had a yellow bow around her neck.
I looked over at Mon-el and he nodded in return as I pulled him towards her.
I dropped Mon-el's hand and knelt down to her level.
"What's your name sweetie?" I asked her gently which causes her to shy away. She buries her face in her teddy and curls up into a small ball.
"It's okay, we aren't going to hurt you," Mon-el said as he dropped down next to me.
"Brynlee" she replied quietly.
"That's a beautiful name Brynlee, how old are you?" I asked in reply.
She let go of her bear and held up two fingers.
"Wow" Mon el replied chuckling.
"Who's this little guy?" I asked her as I pointed to the bear that was rested on her lap.
"Bella" she replied as she placed the bear close to her chest.
"Wow you're one lucky girl," Mon el claimed as we got back up onto our feet.
"Are you leaving?" she asked as her face dropped.
"Yes we are, but do you want to come with us?" I asked her.
Her face lit up visibly as she jumped up to her small feet.
"Yes," she smiled.

-Mon El's POV-

I picked up the small girl in my arms as Kara and I walked towards the office.
After filling out paperwork, we were finally allowed to take her home.
We grabbed Brynlee's small bag of belongings before heading out the big steel doors and towards the car which we parked at the end of the street.
As I buckled Brynlee into the makeshift car seat, she started to weep and cry. Tears formed in her small, blue eyes and fell down her pale face, leaving streak marks.
"Hey, hey what's wrong Brynlee," I say softly as I pull her up out of the seat and I hold her in my arms, pulling her close to my chest.
"Brother!" she whimpered.
"Where's you're brother?" I ask into her hair as I rub circles on her back.
"In there" she cried as she pointed to the orphanage,
"Who's your brother?" I asked curiously.
Maybe I will be able to convince Kara to let us have him too. I have always wanted a son.
"Isaac" she mumbled into my shirt.
"Can we please have him" I mouth to Kara who is in the passenger seat.
"I don't know Mon el" she replies.
I walk over to her side of the car and kneel down so I am at the level of her car door. I attempt to give her puppy dog eyes but I don't think I am any good at it because she just laughs in return.
"Mon el we have never had kids before and then suddenly we have 2. That's a big leap" she explains quietly.
"I know but we are together and there is nothing we can't do while we're together," I say as I grin back at her.
"Fine" she moans as she gets out the car.
"I have an idea. You take Brynlee to the orphanage and make her show you where her brother is. You two can become acquainted while I drive to the shops and grab a baby's car seat and a proper car seat for Brynlee" I announce excitedly.
"Fine" she mumbles. "Pass her over".
"Brynlee can you show us where your brother is?" Kara asks the little girl, our little girl as she walks back into the creepy building.
I jump back into the car and start up the engine before pulling out of the parking space and driving to the nearest shopping mall.
There aren't many in the area but after 20 minutes of searching, I find a small one with a baby shop.
I quickly run inside and ask a shop assistant where the car seats are and she directs me to the back of the shop.
Well, that definitely saved some time searching high and low.
I look through the shelves to find a plain black baby carrier that comes with a portable pram frame that attaches to the car seat to make a portable pram. That will be good to keep in the car as a pram for out and about uses.
Most of the car seats I see for older kids don't have a back but we need one since Brynlee is only 2.
Then I find one at the end that is pink and black. It has a cushioned back and seats so that she will be comfortable while we are in the car which will be at least every day. It even has a cup holder on the arm.
The seat belt goes into the seat and clips in and then the seat has separate straps that wrap around both of her arms. That will be perfect.
I call over an assistant who helps me take them to the till and then to the car.

-Kara's POV-

I am welcomed again by one of the orphanage owners as I walk through the doors.
She shows me to the room where all the babies stay.
Brynlee takes over from there and directs me towards her brother who is wide awake in his crib, unlike the others.
He has short blonde hair just like Brynlee and I and ocean blue eyes.
His chubby cheeks were adorable.
How have they not been adopted yet?
Both him and his sister are adorable.
I place Brynlee down on her feet before picking up Isaac and rocking him in my arms. He stares up at me and my heart melts as he smiles up at me. I smile back causing him to giggle which was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard.
"I see him?" Brynlee asked as she lifted her arms up.
I kneel down next to her so she can see her brother who is still in my arms.
His eyes light up the minute he catches a glimpse of her face and a small smile spread across hers.
I felt tears form in my eyes at the moment playing before my eyes.

-Mon El's POV-

It only took about 10 minutes to get back to the orphanage because I knew the way this time.
As soon as I arrived, I ran in and one of the lovely helpers directed me to Isaac's crib.
As I opened the door I saw about a dozen cribs but then I spotted Kara sitting, leant against one with a baby in her arms and Brynlee sat next to her. Both of them were tickling Isaac, making him giggle.
"Hey, so you found Isaac. What do you think? Can we take him too?" I ask Kara as I give her my hand and pull her back on to her feet.
"There is no way we are leaving without him," Kara claims smiling and she passes the little guy to me and picks up Brynlee.
"He is perfect," I mutter as I smile down at him.
"I know. Mon-El I think we have found our family" Kara declares happily as I entwined our hands and we walked downstairs.
