Before You, We had No One

Super Daddy!

-Kara's POV-

"Hey Mon-El, do you think you can stay with the kids while I run off because there is a robbery downtown and I want to help," I ask as I place my arms around his neck.
"Yeah sure babe, go save the world" He chuckles.
"Thank you, I love you" I smile back as I place a kiss on his lips before running to the balcony and flying away.
"Love you too babe" Mon-El replies to the empty air.

-Mon El's POV-

While I wait for Kara to finish saving the world, I decide to put on a film. I can always finish it tomorrow if I don't complete it tonight.
After endless scrolling down lists and lists of different films, I finally decide to watch Sully.
It is all about a pilot who landed his plane in the Hudson River and saved everyone on board. It looks so fascinating.
I got so into the film that I didn't hear the creak of the floorboards when Bryn slowly made her way into my our bedroom and then into the living room.
It was only when she said, "Daddy?" that I noticed her.
"Hey, what's up Princess?" I ask as I pause the film and I sit her on my lap.
"Dark" she mumbles as she rests her head on my shoulder.
"Mommy is picking up a night light tomorrow so, for now, you are just going to have to live with it princess, I'm sorry" I reply as I she snuggles closer to my chest. She leans back against my chest and I rest my head on hers.
“Stay with you Daddy?" she asks.
"Of course, anything for my Princess" I smile as I place a quick kiss in her hair.
"Daddy?" she asks not 2 minutes later.
"Yeah?" I mumble into her hair.
"Where Monsters?” she asks worriedly.
“Princess there aren't any monsters, but even if there were, Mommy and Daddy would keep you safe” I comfort her as I wrap my arms tighter around her stomach.
“Where Mommy?” she asks.

"Mommy had to run off to help someone but she will be back soon" I answer quickly, trying to cover Kara's tracks.
“Mommy and Daddy both love you and Isaac so so much and will protect you from any Monsters that come your way" I say quietly  with a smile.
"Okay Daddy" she replies as she turns around in my arms so that her legs are wrapped around my stomach and her head is rested on my shoulder. Her eyes become too heavy to keep open so she digs her face into my neck and lets them close.
About 3 minutes later, I hear her breathing start to even out. Even when she is sleeping, she grabs on to my shirt and doesn't want to let go like she is scared I'm going to leave. Kara does it too when she is nervous or stressed. 
"Goodnight baby" I whispered as I pull the blue blanket that was hung over the couch arm next to me over her small body. I lean back and I close my eyes, telling myself that I will I am just resting eyes but it doesn't work because I fall fast asleep In seconds.
