-Mon El's POV-

"Are you sure you can do this? I can get Alex to come and help you or I can just not go" Kara asks frantically as she runs around our apartment tidying up after the kids.
"Kara, we will be fine. I can look after the kids by myself. How hard can it be?".

__________ 6 hours later __________

"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!" Bryn screams from her room.
I spring to life as I jump out of bed and run towards her yells. She is sitting on her bed, tears streaming and duvet thrown off her bed and piled up on the floor.
"What's wrong Princess?" I ask her softly as I kneel next to her bed and I wrap my arms tightly around her small frame.
"Head oww" she says with tears still spilling from her red, puffy eyes.
"Aww, Princess" I whisper as I stand up with her still in my arms.
I walk around the room, tracing a figure of eight as I rub her back slowly. At first she refuses to let her eyes close but she is so tired she is in a deep sleep within 5 minutes.
Slowly and carefully, I lay her back down on top of her bed and I pick up her duvet and pull it up to her chin.
Slowly I creep away so that I don't wake her again.

I jump back into bed and just as I am started to get comfy, Isaac starts whimpering in his crib.
I roll out of bed and I lean over his crib.
"What's wrong dude?" I ask as he sits up and lifts his arms up in the air, waiting for me to pick him up.
"No you need to sleep" I tell him as I lightly push him onto his back again.
It doesn't take a moment until he starts to wail and cry.
"Oh Isaac" I sigh as I lift him out of his crib and I rock him in my arms.
"So you have a dirty diaper?" I ask as I lay him on my bed and I unbutton his onzie to find a dry diaper.
"Well if it isn't your diaper, are you hungry?" I ask as I walk him over to the kitchen.
I grab a ready made bottle from the fridge and I warm it up for a couple of seconds.
I lay Isaac down in my arms before grabbing his bottle and offering it to him but he pushes it away and continues to wail.
"What's the matter?" I ask Isaac, knowing full well that he can't tell me.

His cries become louder and louder as the minutes pass but as I sit on the couch with him laying on my chest still crying, I notice a glimmer of something in his mouth.
"Hey dude, calm down and let Daddy open your mouth please?" I ask as I open his mouth with my fingers to see 2 white, shiny objects sticks out of his gum by not even a millimeter.
"Hey, look at that" I smile. "Someone is getting their baby teeth".

I strap Isaac into his rocker before running into the kitchen and washing my hands.
He continues to sob but once I am finished, I dry my hands and I take a seat on the couch in front of him. I grab my phone before leaning over and letting him chew on my finger which he happily excepts and starts to knaw on.
It is the only thing I can remember from the books Kara read.
With my free hand, I search the Internet on my phone for any tips.
It suggest that I get teething gel which I will have to pick up tomorrow and teething rings which we also don't have.
Instead I decide to grab one of his pacifiers and I fill the nipple up with water and I freeze it.
Then when I put him back to sleep, he can have some comfort but it is still safe.
