Swings And Slides

-Mon El's POV-
"Come on Kara, it's 9:45 we need to go" I moan as I wait by the front door with Isaac giggling in my arms as he admires everything outside.
"Just give me a minute, I need to make sure we didn't forget anything!" Kara yells back.
After letting out an impatient huff, I walk outside to meet Alex, Eliza and Bryn who is running around happily on the grass.
"Are we leaving straight away or are we taking the cars back to the car park and staying out here for a bit longer before heading towards the airport?" Alex asks as we stand next to the car.
"I think we were going to go to the park for a bit and then go to the shop to grab some nibbles for in the car before heading off because we don't need to be at the airport till 5:30 and it only takes 5 hours to drive down" I reply as I watch Bryn sit on the grass with her pink rucksack that has her doll inside. She watches the daisies in the grass closely as the light breeze makes them sway which looks like they could be dancing.
"Right I have double checked the house and it is empty so we haven't left anything" Kara announces as she walks through the front door, closing it behind her.
"Let's take the cars back to the car park" I announce as I open the car door behind mine and I strap Isaac into his car seat as Kara straps Bryn into hers.
I jump into the driver's seat and as I wait for Alex to reverse first, I clip my seat belt on.

The car park is only a 2-minute drive away.
Today everyone is leaving so most cars have left the car park so they can fill them up with their luggage so finding a free space is a piece of cake.
I unbuckle Bryn from her seat and I lift her out of the car before quickly assembling the pushchair for Isaac.
Once Isaac is strapped in and Kara has grabbed the diaper bag, I lift Bryn into my arms and we wait at the entrance to the car park for Alex and Eliza who is only 2 minutes behind us.

"Right let's go to the park!" Alex says excitedly as they walk past us.
Once we cross the road, the park is only to our left so we quickly walk around the fence until we find the gate.
Kara finds and sits on a bench with Eliza and Isaac while Alex and I take Bryn towards the slides.
There are 2. Once is like a metal tube and the other is an average slide that can fit 2 people at once.
After a heated debate between myself and Alex, we finally decide to go down the tube slide first.
Alex climbs up the rope and wooden climbing frame before waiting for us at the slide as Bryn and I take our time to get up.

-Kara's POV-

I watch as Bryn and Mon-el climb up the climbing frame until I can't see them anymore.
I can hear muffled voices come from the top of the slide before I hear a high pitched scream. The scream seemed to move down the slide and not seconds later Alex's head pops out from inside the tube.
"That was so fun" she smiles as she slides of the lip at the bottom and waits at the bottom of the slide with me.
"Mon el!" Alex shouts up the slide.
"Are you ready?!" he asks loudly on reply.
"Yep, send her down" Alex yells back. As if on cue, Bryn's yelling starts not a millisecond later and her head pops out at the bottom with a face covered in total shock and joy.
"Was that fun?" I ask from the bench.
"Yes!" she smiles brightly as Alex helps her off the slide.
"I'm coming down!" Mon-el yells from the top.
The slide starts to bang and clatter as he came down until his head also pops out the bottom.
"Bryn you are right, that is so fun!" Mon-el laughs as he pulls himself off the slide.
Bryn runs up to me and jumps into my arms so I sit her on my lap.
"What do you want to do next?" I ask her as she tangles her fingers in my hair.
"How about we have a shot of the basket swing?" Alex asks excitedly as she runs ahead.
Bryn nods her head in reply so I lift her off my knee but she tries to lift her legs up so they wouldn't touch the ground.
"What are doing?" I ask her as I try again but she still doesn’t want to stand.
"Do you want Mommy to come too?" I ask and in reply, she nods her head vigorously and points towards the basket swing in the distance where Alex is waiting for 2 teens to finish having a go.
"Come on then" I smile before standing up and resting Bryn on my hip.
"Do you want to come watch too because then I can take Isaac with us?" I ask Eliza.
"Sure" she smiles as she pushes the pram along the dirty wood chip ground towards the swing as Bryn and I follow close behind.

After waiting for 5 minutes, the teens finally move on, leaving the swing to us.
"Who is going on first?" Alex asks enthusiastically.
"Bryn do you want to go on with Auntie Alex?" I suggest to Bryn as I point to Alex who is already seated in the middle of the basket.
She shakes her head and wraps her fists grab hold of the back of my shirt tightly as to signal she didn't want me to put her down so I leave it at that. I stand with Isaac and Bryn on the sidelines as we watch Eliza and Mon-el push Alex really high. She loves it.
Now and again it starts to wobble to the side because someone pushed it to close to one edge and every time it does, Alex screams which sets Bryn and Issac into fits of laughter.
"If daddy and Grandma slow it down, do you want a shot now?" I ask Bryn as they continue to push the basket.
"Even Isaac can have a go" I add.
"Yes," Bryn smiles as she tries to jump out of my arms.
"Mon-el," I say as I crouch down to the prams level, using one hand to unclip Isaac from his pram and the other to stop Bryn from running in front of the swing.
"Yes, Kara?" Mon-el asks as he steps back from the moving basket.
"Bryn and Isaac would like to have a shot with Auntie Alex" I state as I finally win the battle against the pram and I pull Isaac out.
"Sure" Mon el smiles before grabbing the swing tightly so that it can't move.
The swings quickly comes to a halt.
"Right Princess" Mon el smiles as he lifts Bryn into the swing next to Alex and places a sweet kiss on her head.
Then he takes Isaac from my arms and places him in between Alex's legs.
"Right, you ready?" Eliza asks happily as she holds onto the swing, ready to push.
"Slow" Bryn reminds then nervously.
"I know Princess" Mon el smiles.
Gently they give the basket a nudge and it ever so slightly starts to swing.
Bryn's face fills with shock and pure joy as she realises that the swing is moving.
"Look!" she yells happily.
"You are so brave" Eliza laughs as she stands back and claps her hands.
While I have the time, I quickly take my phone out of my bag and I take a few photos to show the others back home.
